Changing Water in Hydro System

First time grower, but I have done a lot of research so I feel pretty confident about it. My question is how I can change the water in my "stealth hydro system" without stressing out my babies, since I have to take off the lid and disconnect the pump and such?

wal-mark, 3$ buy another tub, move everything over this will allow you to be more through in your cleaning

as long as the roots aint out of the water for more than 20 minutes you will be fine but buying another tote is the best way
