Then why are there "hate crimes" if it's not about race ? Not saying cops don't target blacks either, clearly some cops do.
If Chauvin were black and Floyd were white would the coverage have been different ? I think it might have been.
We know there is plenty of black on black homicide and nary a peep...what gives?

I’m sorry you don’t understand the legal concept of aggravating circumstances. He killed him while committing a felony in front of minors in an excessively aggressive way, that’s why he got another 10 years. You’ve obviously got a boner for killer cops.

What's the takeaway here? I read that his ex wife that's changing her name to avoid the stink thought he was "such a gentleman" and "Under all that uniform, he’s just a softie" before the incident. Made him out to be a decent guy.

I read that Chauvin had lots of complaints but only one was upheld. No detail at all on the complaints apart from one which didn't really seem that bad.
I also read a lot of annoying statistics about how ethnically white places Chauvin has lived are.

I think he should be in prison for less time than he is and that the aggravating factors are overstated in this case for the purpose of making a point.

The takeaway is a cop “murdered” a man by kneeling on his neck till he died. The other takeaway is that he got caught only because someone filmed it. It’s justifiable homicide when a white cop kills a persons of colour unless it’s filmed and we can see exactly what went down.

Police killing people is filmed all the time these days. Lots of examples of them being put in the position of choosing to kill or be killed and making the only rational decision. Some examples of mistakes being made also.
