Cheap cloner?

Would more like to buy one online. Dont want to fuss with buying all the stuff and building it
Said the guy with more dollars than sense! What was described was a DIY Bubble cloner (there's a full tutorial in the DIY sub-forum), they are about as complicated as un-wrapping a McDonald's hamburger. The whole process of growing cannabis is, basically, a DIY endeavor - you've got to get with the program at some point.

But then again; it's your money - go ahead and spend it!

In order to build a DIY cloner it would cost at least 40 dollars. It is a much better investment to spend 60 on a king cloner and saving all the time and effort to build the cloner.

More worth it, to me, anyways.

Dude, you have no idea how simple and cheap one of these is! I built one of these for around $15. But I bought a big honkin' air pump - you could easily do it for $10. The only parts you have to buy are the air pump, tubing and an air stone. You can use almost any kind of a plastic container, you can find in the trash can, that holds a couple of quarts, or so.

And "all the time and effort to build the cloner." is probably less time and effort than you will spend un-wrapping your $60. King Cloner. But like I said, it's your money - go ahead and spend it!

When your pump fails in the middle of the night you are going to wish u built one. I agree I wouldnt spend the 200 on a name brand but at least buy a good pump. My cloner cost me 40 dollars to build and will last and if somthing happens to my pump all I do is drive 10 mins to replace it for free. I also like to support my local store rather than some big corporation pumping out junk. Some people step over a dollar to pick up a dime...

I run 2x 25 site clone King cloners. absolutely LOVE them. been running one of them for 4 years and still runs perfectly.

for the 65.00 shipped price, you can barely build your own (time and materials add up to about the same).

his 25 and 36 site coners are exactly the same minus the top white net basket holder part. the res, pump, mister bar, number of misters are the same.

The pump is just about the whole price if the sytstem. I rather have a brand that is known to run good then somthing no one has ever heard of. Sometimes there's a diamond in the rough. I just believe in everything diy is cheapest and build to your needs. After that you get what you pay for.

well 4 years and cloning 24/7 for 3 straight weeks every 9 weeks on the same cloner, you cant go wrong.

I run Apollo ballasts and bulbs. inexpensive YES, but ive been running the same Apollo 4 ballasts for 4 years (3 on 12/12, 1 on 18/6). not bad at all in my book for a cheapo brand name.

So what brand of a pump would you recommend?

what size cloner do you want? I use a Rubbermaid roughneck 18 gallon tote. I use about 4 gallons of nutrient solution with 8-10 misters. 12 site because I use 3 inch net pots and neoprene collars from start to finish. I use an active aqua 400 gph pump which costs me 24 dollars at local hydro store and also guarantee them for 3 years.

Ill likely find a tote or something that can fit around 30 or so

You could probably get that many out of the same tote with smaller wholes and neoprene sleeves with no net pots.

I can post pics of my setup tomorrow if your interested very simple to make and if you are running the pump 24/7 you don't need airstones
