double triple NO
listen ... this is the first issue I see with new growers using “ split color channels “ panels ....Has anyone use a LED light that doesn’t have a veg switch and a bloom switch? I got one and it says it’s for veg and bloom just keep the hours how you would 18/6veg and 12/12 for flower
The switches are just a marketing gimmick so they can say the lights are "Dual Mode" for both Veg and Bloom. It sounds cool but all their doing is hurting people's yields by having them run just either the veg or bloom modes.listen ... this is the first issue I see with new growers using “ split color channels “ panels ....
Throw ALL SWITCHES ON .... ALL THE WAY THRU GROW.
You need to squeeze “ any and all “ light out of those cheaper panels.
You can always tell in pics when somebody running the tidy bowl blue color ..... which literally is Xmas light power and color.

That’s what I thought I just wanted to make sure cuz with the one I got it showed 12/12 for bloom and something else for bloom/fruit but it wasn’t 12/12Just worry about the light cycles. Flip to 12/12 when you need to
Go to HLG, if you are worried about it, tell them where you want to go with this, and you will be happy, just a suggestion. I'm glad I did. I would not buy anything from China right now. Feb. 2020
Ya, but HLG gets the best top bin diodes. Those Chinese lights get the leftovers. Not saying the Chinese lights are bad, just they aren't made with the same quality of materials that HLG provides.Seriously? HLG uses Samsung parts. Where do you think Samsung manufactures their diodes?

I know HLG uses good parts. My comment was in response to the comment about not buying anything from China. Most of the parts HLG uses are made in China. They don't provide materials. Samsung manufactures at a Chinese facility and HLG buys from Samsung. So if you buy from HLG you're buying a product where most of the components came from China. He might have made that comment about getting nothing from China right now with the coronavirus issue going on. That's what I took from it, and it actually made me think about Chinese imports right now. Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean you have no reason not to be, lol.I know HLG uses good parts. I know Samsung is Korean. Their LEDs are manufactured in China at a facility in Tianjin. It says right on HLG's website that they use Samsung LED's. HLG might source other parts from Vietnam but the Samsung LEDs they use are made in China. As for delays, there is probably enough material in the supply chain and warehouse to keep running for a while without delay. And there really isn't any difference between being manufactured in Vietnam or China. The two countries share a border.Samsung is korean . Hlg already said it sources from vietnam facility and others.
besides they run the surface mount building here in the states and there website is still running full throttle with no mention of delays or stuff in the china fiasco.
The jobs are coming back home, we have the strongest economy in the world, investments are flowing in like crazy, we are America! The Worlds last safe haven for investment because we are GOOD! But these are just minor details. It really doesn't matter where things are made as long as they work. China is a very efficient and friendly place for foreign companies to open plants and move their manufacturing to. That's why virtually every company has done it. I was working at an electronics manufacturer in the nineties and they were moving as much product over there as possible to be manufactured. These were products that ended up with big name labels on them like Hewlett Packard, Intel, etc... Unfortunately I wasn't lucky enough to get a trip to China. Instead I got sent to an offshore facility in Mexico to assist in destroying the American manufacturing industry. I still feel guilty about the jobs I helped transfer out of the country.
