I got a question?
I was just wondering if there was any other ideas/setups out there that keeps hps low and cool. I plan on using a 250w hps ina closet with a small 4' statinary fan and a ocsilating 3 speed fan simliar to "ionic breeze". I already put hps in there with no fans got up to 99 F. Im lookin 4 cheap not a cooltube or dayton or a/c types thanks
happy growin & smokin:weed:

You could get hoods with openings and just use ducting that they use for dryers then run from one side to the other light this.

Intakefan|____light__light____|exit

__=ducting
Light= your lights
| |= walls
Exit= Exit
Intakefan= Equal any kind of fan you can mount to push cooler air through ducts and your lights keeping temps very low. An intake fan..like a 4 incher..should do the job nicely.

with the fans in there it should lower the heat but yer just cut a hole in the roof and stick a extractor in or leave the door open.

first put a bowl of water in there to get ur humidity to around 60% then cut a whole in the tarps and stick in a extractor fan. iv also heard of people putting a ice cream tub of water or something in the freezer till frozen then stick infront of fan. only thing is u have to put a new one out every day or something.

You need circulating ventilation, cut a hole in the top of the tarp in the doorway, then cut a similiar size hole in the bottom. This way it will suck cold air from the floor up to the top and blow the hot air out.

I have some of the same problems most of the time i just leave the door open a bit but i would like to have a way to come down to around 80 im at 86 and i use 3 out fan's and 2 clamp on fans that turn. should i turn one of my out fan's in to a blower so it blows out side air mid 70-80 in to the grow room or will that be an issue?

Thanx ur idea inspired me to do something i am gonna put a 3inx3in hole in the top of tarp enclosure and position my fan in the bottom reverse corner and position at a angle slightly upwards,untill i get some better fans atleast

does that really work to raise humidity? ill try that ghetto idea and get back with u, tried the frozen thing before lower temps by 3 degrees F at most never will do it again just wastes space

so thats what i did last night i turned one of my out fans to an blower now it blows outside air through a filter and now i can run a 600w hps and 4 200 cfl and it only gets to around 82. anyone have a problem with outside air coming in i did run it through a hepa filter first but can things get through that and screw things up?

are u pulling air straight from outside or from still in the house? if its straight from outside i always like to have a bit of fly screen or something over the end so no flys get through even tho half of them would prob get chopped by the fan. whats a hepa filter?. benzo just checking out ur grow now.

Im pulling air from outside and its been a few days it has been great.

A hepa filter is kind of like one thats in a vac-cleaner seems to block alot and not effect the air flow that much. I push the out side air over the top of the plants they seem to like it.
