Cheapest cardgiver?

I had one that expired and I haven't been growing, but I have developed a really bad medical condition and I need to start supplying myself as much as I can. I only get relief for my pain from eating it, and need shake and stuff in more quantity than I can afford, so I want to fire up my lighting, but stay legal.

The place I had gone to charged $200/year and the next cheapest I've found is $100. I'm prescribed a ton of shit and am really fucking broke even that $100 is tough when your income dries up from a disability and you haven't got on any assistance programs, just gets sucked away to co-pays just to see the doctor. Haven't even had enough money to buy herb.

Can I just take my vicodin, neurontin, etc meds to a dispensary and get a card (pay their fee to see doc), show them what paperwork I do have and tell them I get relief from eating it? Even the fucking specialist charges more than $1 per page to get a copy of your medical records (and mine is long) and you have to buy a CD of your MRI scan.

Thanks for any recommendations. (also I live in Seattle, near the u-district)

I'll be honest brother I feel ya my wife is on social security disability, and things have been real tight for me since my company folded up a few years ago. To find a DECENT job that is willing to capacitate the need's of someone with mental health issues is nearly impossible hence why I held that job as long as I could. But now money is so tight around here that we get by but we really think before we just "blow" even $10 anymore. That being said so you understand I am in the same boat and feel ya brother... don't go for a cheap doctor for cannabis advocacy. You need to feel %110 that if something should happen and you face litigation or other legal actions due to the use or growth of cannabis that this doctor will stand behind his diagnosis. And I don't feel that way about a lot of these cheaper options...

Sorry brother but I believe ya need the actual records of condition in question, not just a copy of the medications currently used. Sorry dude... but I have one piece that may help... many decent coalitions and private doctors for cannabis referral's may adjust their fee's for a person in low income. If ya can provide an award letter or something to that degree proving ones lack of income is typically required, although some just need to see an EBT card such as a food benefit's card to prove lack of income. If not no harm in asking eh?

Second getting your records sent over for most practice's is a thing of professional courtesy. As long as they are specific on what they need then they most likely will not be charged for the transfer of your records. Just make sure the explain that you do not need your full record but in fact a 2-3 year record of the conditions in question. So if ya find a doctor you would prefer ask their reception office to make the call for the records transfer, there may be some paperwork but it won't be much just a standard HIPPA (sp? is it two S's?) waiver most likely but may not be necessary not sure. But they shouldn't charge for the transfer, and as I said they shouldn't be charged either as typically it is considered a professional courtesy.

Hope that helps! (And yes there may be grammar issues; sorry folks it is late.)

Thanks HippySmoke.

I got some 1 per 1 million population disease that causes extreme cranial pains, nerves, muscles, everything being pushed by a "mass" (soft tumor) in the skull base near the pituitary that's pretty much inoperable. I'm on some treatment to try to shrink it, but it's hella bad. I can't even talk/socialize in person anymore because my face hurts more when I make any expressions, which is natural when talking to people. It was just starting to take out my left eye before I started treatment and the eye part seems to be better, which was the real killer not being able to read, think. I could still see out of it, but the muscles that move it were fucked so it was extremely painful if I looked in any direction, and it wouldn't move at the same rate as the right eye so I had double vision. Just completely fucked me over. I'm a full time student almost done with school, 28 years old, but dunno if I can even use the degree since I can't talk to people for more than a few mins without taking a narcotic.

Even with health insurance, as your employment opportunities dry up, having 20+ $40 co-pays in a short time adds up not to mention I have dozens of small $20 bills from various tests after the insurance adjusted price. MRI bill to insurance was more than $10k, insurance paid $1700 and the hospital charges me $300. I have to have multiple to monitor the size of the shit in my head. I had to call them to "start a tab" I can make payments towards. So fucked.
