I am growing mine outside in a window seal plant holder...will they be fine growing outside with the sunshine? I mean they are fine now, they jsut started to grow and are looking good already....
really? most people I talk to use 600's because they say they're more efficient.. but those people just use two 600's. how many 1000's do you use tho?I only use 1000's .......

my area's gonna be a little smaller than that so I'm gonna go with a 600w. just getting pretty excited to finally step my game up to a hps gonna do a couple soil grows and study up some more before I jump into a hydro grow. still trying to decide between hydroton balls or straight perlite.. any suggestions?2 600's is 1200,
I have compared my 1000W grows to other peoples 600W.....
I can cover a 6'x6'x4' area of pure plant space with 1 1000W and get 2 1/2 to 3 lb.s max of better herb compared to covering a 6 1/2'x6 1/2'x 3' area of pure plant space with two 600W and get 2 1/2 lb.s max of herb that is just shy of the quality of what I would get using a 1000W. The buds are denser, more trichs, more weight, less electricity. Also, the original investment in lighting (ballast etc.) is cheaper with more results.
What makes all the difference is the other equipment you use in running your op. like for example the spread you from the hood/ceiling of your tent. The actual bulb you use, the medium, and the strain as well.
Indeed.... since you brought it up, I will do a comparison grow within the next year..... probably a couple different comparission grows to cover a few vital variables.
nothing compares to soil
Superior taste is part of it. for a variety of reasons really. When growing cannabis we are tending to nature, based solely on our understanding of nature and the basic processes of plant growth and development. The genetics that play roles in nutrient uptake, plant and root structure etc. is far more advanced for most growers to study, instead we measure the visible signs of these trates by observing them.I always thought soil grows had a superior taste to their flowers. maybe because that's what I only smoked for the first half of my smoking life, but I can appreciate that plants grow faster in hydro setups too. why do you choose soil over hydro TLD?

There are biological processes that take place in organic soil mediums that do not occur in hydro media (the basic elements are not there). Our earth is designed to care for herself with very little aid, as is cannabis. Anything people develop and produce to aid in controling the natural factors and elements of growing is merely an attempt to recreate what nature has perfected. Through our observations we can note certain elements of nature that aid in plant growth, such as nutrients, mild dry winds during flowering etc. and by aiding the plants in receiving those things the plants use them in kind. Nature maintains its own balance in the soil, one that we try to recreate in hydro/aero growing. I would write more but Im on the phone with daughters teacher and got bad news more later.... sorrry
I thought so too! can't wait to hear more on the subject. finally have some true substance to argue with all my hydro growing friendsmuy muy muy excellente! ! ! !
