Check This out!

I am going to attempt to grow mary jane for the first time and I'm going all out for it too.
I've just order god bud/mendo purps/the black seeds. I'm growing by Hydroponic and I have a few questions and future questions too.

First off for the water in my resevoir tank
I was planning on using tap water and just letting it sit for a day or two in a dark plastic container. Is that good enough?

Also I'm concerned about what should be my optimal pH for the water. I have a tri-meter so I'll always be able to see it. But I don't know what level. I hear 5.8 is good for making sure its females but i hear 7 is best for producing the most buds.

My last question for now is air exhaust.
For air intake I figured I'd just use an open window fit for a squirrel cage but for exhaust should i just use a vent? Also I bought air ionizers for odor control, do you think that will be sufficient?

I'm doing this all in a basement.

If you are building your own hydro setup you may want to use the link below and see how Greenman built a hydro setup from materials easily found at places like Lowes and lawn and garden stores.

It is a nine part video, to watch all the way through harvest and the first five segments are titled How To Grow Green and the next four are titled I Grow Chronic and were uploaded by a different user … but it is all from the same video just titled differently by different people who uploaded the different parts of the video.

It is good informative viewing.

mr green's the man. I've seen hs video's a few times and I'm using his exact system for my vegetation room. But my flowering room is going to be about 4-5 big pvc pipes with at least 6 slots for plants in them.
