checking PH when growing

hi all

im new to PH , should i be checking my PH ,i have done a few grows but never had a pH meter checker ,but done ok ?

what is the cheapest PH checker available ??? can you get of ebay ?

any advice appreciated

What are you growing in bro? I take it that you are in dirt? People hardly use PH meters with soil because the nutes buffer the water going in to a suitable range. But if you used meter you probably would get better results definitely. For hydro/soiless your looking at 5.6-6.0 with 5.8 being the happy medium and with soil your looking at 6-7 with 6.5 being the happy medium.

Im pretty sure you can get them off ebay or just go down to ur local hydroponics store....

yes mate growing canna coco professional ,like i say i have never used a ph meter or checker before ,some people say you should get one ,but im not sure where to look ?

i don't want spend a lot on one ,is there a cheap one any where ,that will do the job

For a half decent one your looking around $80 or £50...im currently in canna coco also and my girls sufferd for the first 3 weeks...im
New to this but have done much research before i jumped in. I thought i was growing in dirt at first so i was setting my PH to 6.5 and it stunted my girls severly! They were also showing all sorts of defs like nitrogen, phos, calcium....they were fucked...soon as i sorted the PH out they perked right up and there fine now. So i would think it is important especially in coco!

As for searching for one just type in ebay "digital PH meters" or something along them lines? Hope you find one brotha! Good luck
