Chernobyl and Wild West in a StinkBud System under 600W HPS

Just wanted to report in quickly and say that all is going well. The buds are getting heavy and starting to flop over. I'm going to have to tie things up soon so that they can finish fully without breaking the stems.

These buds sure are taking there sweet time. They don't appear to be done at all yet. Breeder package said 9-10 weeks and I'm just about to pass the 10 week mark. I took a bunch of different pictures with a couple cameras I had available to me. The pictures aren't really the best quality, but they give you a good sense of some of the monster nugs I'm dealing with.

I gave them their last feed of Pro Bloom a couple days ago. I believe I'm getting inside of the last two weeks so I think it is a good time to start flushing. I have been overfeeding them as far as I can tell so even if they still go a little longer than 2 weeks it shouldn't matter that they are only getting pH'd water.

I am very excited to cut them down and try this bud. The Chernobyl smells very fruity and sweet almost like lime slushee. I have a feeling it is going to be awesome. I use to only grow Trainwreck and I absolutely loved that. Chernobyl is said to be for Trainwreck lovers who are looking for something a little different so it should be right up my alley. I am guessing I will be just shy of a pound dried and trimmed when all is said and done. The leaves are VERY heavily coated in resin so my hash making potential with all the trim should be very good. I will probably also make some sort of green dragon and definitely some butter with the less mature lower buds.

I am thinking of doing a two stage harvest. The buds on the lower portions of the plant are very far behind the tops. I might only take the tops, give the plants 1 more feed and let the lower nugs keep going for another two weeks or so. We'll see how things go come harvest day. It is getting very close now. I am extremely excited. I might cut myself a small sample soon.

Hey all VERY SORRY for the absence. There isn't really much of a real reason for it. I guess the biggest one is that I lost all the pictures I had due to some technical difficulties which made me lose my enthusiasm for doing this post. I had to pull them down a little earlier than I would have liked due to some issues with keeping my humidity down. I found some rot and mold in more than one place and so I decided as a precaution to bring it all down. I ended up with a dry weight just shy of 1 pound. Of that about half was heavily seeded. All of the seeded bud was the Wild West, perhaps it was just a weak strain. I won't be growing it again. I took all the seeded bud and used dry ice to extract the crystal and process that into hash. It sucks to lose about 200g to seed but its awesome to gain about 18g of high quality hash to smoke. The hash is AMAZING so clean and smooth with a very nice body high that lasts a considerably long time. The Chernobyl was a pleasure to grow and even more so to smoke. HUGE props to Subcool for an awesome strain very true to its TrainWreck roots. The smoke from this strain was everything I hoped it would be. One bowl is often enough but two is even better. The high is very soaring and energetic. I seem to find myself randomly doing tasks around the house after burning it because I have this urge to be productive and busy. It is a great high that I would compare very much to the TrainWreck that I used to have before the bugs came. Overall I am very happy with my yield in quantity and in quality. It was a very successful return to growing my own smoke. I will have enough to last me several months mainly based on the fact that all I am really smoking right now is the hash. It seems like it will last an eternity. It has been two weeks roughly of heavy smoking of mostly hash and I've barely smoked 1.5g yet. It's awesome. If I ever recover any o the pictures I'll get them up.

Side not the outdoor went well. I recovered 8/14 which I believe is a very awesome return. We had a very long drought mid summer which I couldn't water during so they were very stunted but they had excellent smoke nonetheless. Also they had lots of premature buds to add to the big bag of trim which also got turned into hash using dry ice extraction. In total I ended up with about 40g of pure hash. 18 or so from the seeded bud and another 20ish from the trim. It was a good summer and it will make for a great winter. Skyrim comes out soon and therefor I will need plenty of good grass to match all the time I will be spending playing that.
