I find Vortex to be a wild ride. little bit of a let down flavour wise but she really makes up for it ten fold with the high.. and is an experiential MUST TRY
i find the chernobyl is nice and strong too, but the ceiling on the high's lift isn't as limitless as with the Vortex.. although it is cerebral and even psychedelic too, especially if smoking bowls or bongs
for the second round in a row, we're growing a Vortex strain, as well as Chernobyl, and a couple Chernobyl crosses too. Seems they're exhibiting traits of pure vortex and chernobyl.. looks like we have:
- a meaty, JTR pheno thats stouter and sweet
- a lanky, viney Trainwreck / sat dom pheno
- and a strong, almost pungent, Gravyish strain. its like KFC gravy-smothered over-rotting apples and diesel. Its what we're calling 'the keeper', its unlike anything we've ever smelled..

I almost feel bad taking credit though! All I did was add water every couple days, and rotate it a quarter turn a day!
That's the genetics of SLCh though, right sugary

There is a JTR pheno that I call the meaty pheno its often striped from the get go yet packs on weight under the canopy in a bulky fashion like the cotton pheno can.. I only have seed left of the JTR pheno. I'm hesitant to start it until at the ideal spot .. I'd love partially seed a large tree with the PinkGravy pollen
Many phenos of Ch like Slhz and SLCh are a tad sensitive to overly cold waterings and same for heavy feedings, and their calcium complex can get easily disturbed if dropping too cool at night too early in life, even the lanky super stanky super silver phenos easily stripe on you, they mostly love it hot, or really warm I should say, like thrive in a sealed room that's 27celcius if there's a lot of organic material/humus present .. Therefore they also love hps quite a lot. Exept the cotton candy which is a bushier, wider leafed pheno /cultivar.. That one is more like a 55/45 indica to me.. The rest are 65/35 Sativa I'd say

Give them some good ice to finish, and start dropping the water temps to 14*C in the last few days, and you might be able to make that purple really pop!

That's who and where I picked it up from originally, very useful trick that has saved me lots of herbs, as most people just have one puff now and then hold on as the expansion wave rolls over them!

"Since I'm all veganic and organic the soils micro heard is very much alive and active. Some like to chop without cold shocking, and there's nothing wrong with that. But for me, I chop after I have sent a clear and obvious signal to the plant that it's life is over. After flowering the plant will die off anyways, but she does it in active soil. If you ice her, the root temps are drastically lowered. This tells the plant that shit.is going down, your gonna freeze and you won't get pollinated. The plant will send out all its resin it can to get that pollen before it dies. The second part to cold shocking is that the soil microbes still perform their job weather it's transplant time or harvest, they don't care. The cold puts them to sleep, they go back into spore and cyst forms awaiting warmer temps. So in the end the plant will have to use up all of its internal stored nutrient. This forces a reallocation of carbohydrates from the roots to the flowers. This is where you want the carbohydrates and helps with the cure when it's time. Anerobic bacteria is what make curing possible and they feed on the chlorophyll and carbohydrate.
Basically it makes for a better cure and much smoother, more fragrant/flavorful/colorful flowers."

I just found a TGA reseller, and it says TGA Subcool... so I assume subcool is involved with TGA?
Is that the origial frosty chernobly thats pictured here?
Sorry for the newbie questions, but I havnt heard of TGA or subcool before... new here and came for the soil mix ingredients
