Well, just my luck..

I went to go water my plants today, and one of my bails of pro-mix i had stashed was ripped open and scattered all around the ground, the bag was nowhere to be seen. This leads me to believe it was the work of a human being and not a animal. The plants are still there..I just booked it out of there and i don't plan on going back.

that's not a good sign.. always safe to assume its a human to be safe... but the soils do have a scent that might strike the curiousity of animals and might have found interest in playing with the bag. did u see any sign of tracks or foot prints?

I looked and I couldent tell if they were boots or a coyote digging. I might go back today and snap a picture for y'all to examine. 2 plants is not worth the risk when I have more though.

cross fingers for pests to be the culprit. I had a dog that would not leave any bag of anything in one piece. I even seen him shit out bag pieces and socks and fuckin duct tape. He is now passed away, but damn that fucker was a pest. RIP

it was coyotes, i found the bag under a tree shredded like a dog had ripped it up, and the soil was trailed all the way to the tree like it had been dragged. plants are fine and healthy, game on.

figured that was the case, If they found them they are liable to steal them or destroy them and if they were rippers they wouldnt leave a trail . I went out to my plot and found the same thing I have my 5 smart pots and some were dug up do to the fact that they had blood and bone meal in them. I always let the soil sit for a few weeks and let the animals come and dig around before I put the plants in and cage them.
