Child killer goes to healing lodge.

I think proportionality should be considered when addressing our grievances. For instance if a person were trying to kill me, (and I hadn't tried to kill them etc) I have a right to use deadly force to stop them. Not a comfortable circumstance, but I think I would use force to stop them.

If a person bumps into me on the street and it was clearly their fault, but they just called me a name or gave me a shitty look as if I were the douchebag but they kept on walking, I'd probably let it go, even though I might have a right to engage them. Not worth the trouble, even if I had a right to engage them. I'm not interested in proliferating assholish behavior in real life.

Pull the trigger on the killer ?
I would not pull the trigger in that instance, but I wouldn't stop the parents etc. from seeking their justice and I wouldn't care if the killer couple disappeared or had an "unfortunate accident" .
so your ok with things happening, as long as you can absolve yourself of guilt? that's pretty fucking cowardly, Pontius.
i'm not only ok with it happening, i'm willing to pull the trigger, hold the hot iron, and stuff the fucker in.
the tree of liberty has to be watered with the blood of patriots from time to time, and the tree of civilization has to be pruned of sick, unhealthy growth from time to time....and I'm A. Shrubber

Your first question seems rather assumptive, as does the conclusion in your next statement.

Have you been eating a lot of red meat lately?
