I remember the ole man reaching back and jackslapping me for acting up in his ride. He never even took his eyes of the road. Those fond childhood memories. I think he loved those corinthian leather seats more than me

For a while we had one of those monster Caprice station wagons with the jump seats in back. My mom could get over that middle seat in a heartbeat. But we really had to be out of line for that to happen. For the most part, those jump seats were a sanctuary.

My dad told me he would go into the back of the station wagon when his dad was driving and make siren sounds lol

The 'Burb... we had several Suburbans growing up, and I still want another one. If there's three people on the road trip and a full sized mattress in the back, there's no need to stop for anything but gas, meals, the bathroom and the destination!

Yeah those were the good ole days, I remember the only use for seat belts were for locking down cargo. Which reminds me of the best wagon. Still makes me laugh when I think about it

When we were in grade school, mom drove one of these, fully electric, white leather...t-tops. I remember my sister and I sitting in the floorboard of the back seat (who wore seatbelts then?) eating a whole bag of chocolate chips on the way home from the store. We were so sick for a couple of days.
