Chlorine, Tap Water and Plants

Hey, Guys!

I've only recently started growing Ganja, but, I have been growing vegetables for years.

Can somebody please show us all some evidence that the small amount of chlorine found in tap water is hurting our plants?

Most plants in the world are watered with city water with no ill effect. And, my experience with ganja is that it is just a weed that grows very well on its own.

If water is left out and the chlorine evaporates, would this not be a great way of introducing algae INTO your system? And, unless you are using micro-organisms in your system, isn't it our goal to avoid unwanted stuff from growing in our water.

Leaving your water out just seems like a waste of time, and I have never seen s plant die or get messed up from tap water.

Just my $.02

I'm with you on that one. Been growing pot indoors for ten years now through three addresses in very different regions of the country. I've only ever used tap water and never let it sit out and have had lots of success in this hobby. I've also got 400 sqf of raised bed veggies and they get watered right out of the garden hose when necessary and I've done even better with veggies than I have with pot. I don't think it has any effect at all.

I've been using tap water for my entire grow, and I would say that there are no adverse effects. I change both of my res once a week, and my veg res sits uncovered in the veg room, no algie groth... ever. (except for on the top of the rockwool cubes, until I bury them in hydroton.)
