Cool man, I'm gonna grow this strain out soon. Do you mind describing the taste a little better for me? And how long did you flower since bud mold became a problem?

The taste is very smooth, a combination of berry jam with kushy undertones, this pheno was very fruity in smell and flavor. It was somehwere around 45-55 days when I started to get a little bit of bud mold. I run a 2 phase perpetual set up and dont keep records with regards to flowering times. I have been having a lot of mold issues with my past two plants and am going to start using rosenthal's fungicide to try and keep it under control. I will try and post a couple pics in the next day or so, you will be able to tell the buds were harvested early. I let the lower part of the plant flower for 18 more days and there is a notable difference in sight and smell., a little more color and a kushier smell. I can't comment on taste or effect as I only chopped it last night.
If I did not answer your question let me know and I will try to do better.

kgp,

It is a really good strain. I had a couple hardier and better looking pheno's back in the summer, but I had to tear everything out and shut down for a month due to a scare.

Not being a dick, but hows the humidity in your room? If humidity is ok, how closely spaced are the plants, and how much circulation is in there?

Thanks man, you answered just fine, I was just hoping that you got the chocolate tasting pheno that everyone raves about.

Good luck finding a chocolate pheno. A fellow grower I know ran 20 beans of that and didn't come up with one pheno that smelled or tasted anything like chocolate. Fruity, yes. Call it fruity rain or some shit.. Not chocolate.

Actually after the cure a few smelled a little chocolaty, One had a slight chocolate taste. Neither were the stars of the show. I have some more of the Sativa (berry?) pheno flowering and also kept a kinda creamy tasting one with a really nice high. Will run more of them the next time I have room. Almost all of them tasted kinda fruity though.

Bought some chocolate rain along with Mosca C-99 .... decided to try the 99 first. Tiny seeds ...but all have popped, the only thing about small seeds is that it takes much longer to get past the initial phase (cant remember the terminology for the first rounded leafs).

Correct me if I'm wrong but doestnt the choc rain come from a blue pheno? As far as the mold goes what works for me it a good drench of fine mist...the water is mixed with hydrogen peroxide 3% at a rate of 1 and 1/2 teaspoons per cup. The H202 is considered a free radical in chemistry and is just harsh enough to kill certain bacteria while leaving the benificial bacteria alone. In microbiology hydro perox is used as a method of identifying certain types of species of bacteria.....anyway the H202 degrades to water and oxygen when exposed to bright light in less than 6 hours (that is why its sold in dark brown bottles at Walmart -88 cents a quart.

No worries about being a dick bro, I know you r trying to help a fellow grower. The humidity is low so I added an oscillating fan. Also my sativa berry buds have started to take on a slight earthy some may say coffee smell with the curing process but it is definitely an undertone to the berry.

I know this smoke report is old but, I have to disagree with this assessment of E$ko's Chocolate Rain.

I have ran this girl many times and it indeed does taste like dark chocolate if cured proper. There are some phenos that are fruity some are lovely dark chocolate with kush undertones.. So if you are of the fence I can assure you that the chocolate pheno is in the strain.
No disrespect to the OP or other's posting in this thread.. The firggin plant had mold how can one discern any flavor other than mold? It's no brainer! Now if you are smoking pot with mold you must be pretty desperate for a buzz cuz that shit can kill you...
