Chocolope *first grow, lots of questions*

Hey guys!

I've been so interested in growing I finally went out and bought a 2x2 tent with ventilation and lights included. Went to my local smoke shop and grabbed feminized chocolope seeds. Want to go get the medium tomorrow but don't really know what im looking for when it comes to medium/soil and nutrients. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I use promix hpm, no nutrients in it only peatmoss, lime, mychorhyzae and perlite and possibly yucca. The nutes are up to you? Im using a very good salt based nutes.
 
Pro Mix HP or Sunshine 4. Buy a 1-bottle nutrient like Megacrop or Advance Nutrients Iguana. I was gifted 2 bottles each of Iguana Grow and Iguana Bloom. The stuff is good. Easy to use.

I recently started some Chocolope also. I was able to find a pack of DNA's Chocolope fem seeds, and ordered AKBB's version to find some males to play with. The DNA seeds were older, and I only got one to germinate, but I'm just happy to have found one to try. I'll be anxious to see how yours do.

Start simple ….. Decent bagged soil ( not miracle grow ). This way you dictate the feed . Simple 1 or 2 part Nutes.

Megacrop
GH maxigrow / maxibloom ( powdered )
Dr. Earth ( premium gold ) - dry fertilizer
Jacks
and a few others.

No need to buy multi bottles ( as some nute lines “ want “ you to buy )

Soil :

Promix
Dr. Earth
Happy Frog
Kellogg potting
EB Stone Recipe 420 ( most nurseries)
Sunshine 4
Fox Farms Ocean forest ( a little hot for seedlings but excellent for later growth - very nute packed )

Water :
Tap can be run ( just like any other plant ) unless you have really shit municipal water.

Very much appreciated. I ended up getting purple cow inicanja for the soil and 4-8-4 rose and flower mix for the top dressing and I also picked up some stuff called fish shit. I think its a soil conditioner. I'm really excited to get the tent in soon then I want to start a grow journal on here. Very nervouse but very excited. Thank you everyone for your help so far. Rollitup is sick!
 
Keep it Simple and don't get too excited. It's a weed. :weed:
It wants to grow, don't over water or hover over it.
It takes months to grow full circle.
Have fun though.
 
I've been growing Chocolope for several years, indoors/outdoors....f'ing love the f'ing energetic buzz ! I've had some "tall" ones and some real fire plugs ( short/fat). Still cloning them with good results......great high.

Pretty straight forward grow for a first timer?

You might want to get a veg mix too like 4-4-4 or something. But I like the way you're headed here.

In 5-7gal pots ( indoors) they have grown ( same Chocolope seed batch) around 3-4ft and bushy or up to 7ft. For tall ones I either stake down, or let them peak out in height ( lots of head space). Many other options for " tall" plants that I'm sure many members prefer. This sativa ( 90%+) flowers and matures for quite some time......it's worth it! I've done the coco,perlite,vermicuite,earthworm casting mix and Pro mix......good results for both.
