So I’m looking for some new lights for a flower roomand was just looking for some opinions.

I have about a 400 sq ft room 11x 38 with 8 ft ceilings have a 5 ton ac unit.

wanted to go to with hps or LED, was looking at the
TSL growers choice roi e-680

phantom 1000w DE hps

gavita 1000w DE hps

Also was told by somebody to forget the 1000w DE and just go with more 630w cmh but not sure what benefit this would give me.. Any suggestions?

I think there are some others with a flat mount ballast that might be helpful for your 8foot ceilings.

You didn't state how much of the 11x38 you are planning to have as plant canopy.
The general consensus in the commercial market is that CMH lacks intensity to be relevant as a stand alone flower light. Unless your talking something like the 1000W DE CMH's Nanolux is offering. :peace:

2-635 cmh would destroy any 1000 watt bulb any day of the week
And same for 3- 315’s

True , I just started using led strips converting from cobs the par spread is absolutely unmatched pushing 800 min in the corners of a 4x8 and ur able to place them so close to the plants that the penetrating power is close enough if not matched to hps
