chopping the top

If I have a plant 8 ft. high and once it has budded to my liking, can I cut the top 4-5 foot off and let the bottom bud out longer?

I would like to know also...i feel like it might be a great amount of stress on it. It might work just fine though ive never had a plant that tall. Any pics of her?

yes you can
but its all gonna be at the same stage
but maybe you could cut the top early to get some uplifting smoke and the bottom late to get a heavy smoke
but i would just cut it all the same time

You can cut just what is ripe and ready to harvest. You do not have to harvest the entire plant at once.

Thats what I was thinking. It would be cool to check out the different stages, and help lower the plant for a less paranoid me. LOL

Cool! I have tied down now until there is no where else to tie down. The branches need tied down. OMG I have the grow I use to dream about. Shit it is better than I dreamed! But it is totally out of control. They took over my whole back yard. Sooper paranoia!

I have one addvantage, I live in the country. But I have alot of traffic on the roads on two sides of me and two fields on the other sides.

I have had immagrant workers within 40 ft. of my plants. I have had planes spraying the fields next to me. It's getting to be a long grow, LOL.

wow, i'd be paranoid too. i'd also be very paranoid about posting this on the internet since it's on your property. huge advantage though of having access to your plants like that. good luck and don't let 'em go more than 1 second longer than they have to so you can get them outa there.

yep, but I have my MM card and I am at my legal limit as far as the cops go. But I don't want to deal with them. I am more concerned about the public. But I hate hassels. 059.jpg

These are 12 weeks old. They are pretty bushy so I think I will try cutting the top half on at least 2 of them. Good expierance if nothing else.
