Sure but did many people believe that? ..., Yea they were slaves building the pyramids or so some say. Only problem is the last pyramid was built over a 1,000 years before Moses. What did happen shortly before Moses was that a pharaoh degreed that there was only one God and told everyone to worship that one God only. Shortly after he died they went back to the multi-god system and his name and face was chiseled off of his statues etc. Some people surely continued with that one God theory and may have found that they were better off wandering around for 40 years before settling in Israel. Ra the sun disk then became a mythical being who lived in the sky. I could roll on but why bother. If you want to believe in the Easter Bunny, Santa, and the tooth fairy, go for it.

Pyramid builders were NOT slaves.

It took years of hard work and technical brilliance to build such structures, the workers were paid, housed and fed as archaeological sites in the area prove.

Yes, they were slaves

Slaves of the 1850's were also compensated for their work, doesn't make em any less of a slave

Every male Egyptian had to work for a period of time for Pharaoh, then was free to return to his normal life. It was much like a tax, except paid in labor. I imagine the wealthy could just pay a fee and skip the labor. There are numerous records of this. They even had set standards for how much of a particular task one should accomplish in a day.
