I just read that sprinkling cinnamon on top of soil kills fungus gnats safely and quickly. Has anyone heard of this or tried it?
Meh, just threaten them, they'll surrender.Beware a competing French Toast Gnat infestation ... cn
Yes, you're a white trash piece of garbage.I just read that sprinkling cinnamon on top of soil kills fungus gnats safely and quickly. Has anyone heard of this or tried it?
So far this is working, the smell was kinda strong but is ok now. It smells good, just kinda strong. The garlic and cinnamon smell pretty decent together. I have a vinegar trap set up, but since sprinkling the garlic pepper mix on top of cinnamon I haven't seen any flying around This might be a REALLY good cheap thing to do, and it helps a little with odor tooive had gnats and they are very hard to control. please let me know if this works!!
not sure what you mean. but that is the same site that I read originally.Smokinheavy ... duuude ...
I admit I was being humorous, but not caring? Meeee? Oh my feelings!! lol
Seriously, here's a peace offering extolling (and explaining?) cinnamon as gnat control from a "square gardeners" site. cn

Yes I am a newb, or noob... noob... makes me think of boobs... oh, but yes, I am probably overwatering, and yes I am dealing with that, but for people who get them, this works to kill the food supply, the garlic and cayenne are supposed to repel them. I figured for things that are all natural and laying around the house I would give it a shot. One day I will be accomplished like you...one day...Your little gnat problem tells me exactly the type of grower you are. I mean, it's obvious you a noob and you're over-watering your plants or you wouldn't have a problem. Maybe try working on that first.
