Citizen Bubba's law abiding grow box

Thanks True, I freaked out - sorry. I'm on city water in Castle Rock, but it is pretty hard as it is from wells rather than surface reservoirs. Headed off to bag those clones, thanks for the tip.
 
Your freakouts are always welcome, might get ribbed for it a bit, but its all in good fun. Always willing to help out, even if i am a bit sarcastic sometimes.
I always use a Mondi brand dome (the vented one) and tray, you can either buy a tray separate or get like a tray of rapid rooters (i think they still make these) that comes with 50 rapid rooters, a tray and a 50 spot separator. Then you can toss the rooters in a bag and save for later, toss the 50 spot separator, and use the tray with the dome. Turn the rapid rooters over and poke your own hole, and they stand on their own. I am trying rockwool this round and am liking it, but still the tried and true mondi dome and tray. I use the vented one to reduce the humidity slowly before entering them into the veg room that, like most of our rooms, stays low in humidity. I have talked to others who just take them out of the non-vented dome and straight into the room with no issues, in fact had never even considered it till i brought up the sudden change in humidity.
Colorado is well known for being so dry so anytime i have anything that is vulnerable (seeds and seedlings, young unrooted clones) i make sure to keep it in a humid environment.

WTF? Looks like a little sac of pollen, but somehow I don't think that it is, it might be something else goin' on, is there someone at 303 who maybe is familiar with the strain who can evaluate what this is, maybe normal female growth? I would let it grow a bit more because it doesn't look like there is actually any pollen, just a weird sac-pod-growth:?:
 
Too late I'm afraid... my OCD would not tolerate having four plants in a box that I designed for 3... was driving me (more) nuts. Kept a clone that seems to be doing ok. Flipped the lights to 12/12 today. The plants are about 18" high except for the stunted one. I added additional blumat droppers and I think the water consumption slowed down a bit. Whatever's going on, they like it.

Maybe it did release some pollen, I wouldn't turn my nose up to a few seeds to have around for long term protection of the strain.

So, should you trim the dead tips on the clones? The clones are all showing new growth I think. One of them took a beating, but I'm pretty sure it's going to make it. The plants are growing vertically at least an inch per day... But the nodes are still pretty tight. The one in the middle is a toad... and a greedy wench with the water.

Also, went by WtG and picked up the regular sized Blumats for the mother plants and by the used equipment place for some stuff for my veg box that I'm gonna build. :bigjoint: The old lady nixed me buying lumber for it a couple of weeks ago, but I slipped the lumber in when I bought stuff to build my vegetable planters this weekend.

Yup, the wife was balking at my slow steady building of a wall, so I timed it juuuuust right, cut the studs, cut the drywall, got it all prepped and stacked so it could come together in a few hours and get covered with paint and shelves so quickly that she hardly noticed. "Are those new shelves?" :bigjoint:

The plants look great, congrats on keeping them short so far, now comes the stretch...

Everything is looking Awesome, Bubba. What do you think of the used equipment place? I wanted to head by there this Saturday but didn't make it. Are there good deals to be had?
 
Yes, they have good deals... and bad deals. Dude told me the used stuff is on consignment, so some stuff is unreasonable, some very reasonable. I picked up 2 good 6" fans w/ alligator clips for $10 a piece. Also, they had two UFO 90w LEDs, but price was too high IMO ($90/ea) when you consider that new LEDs have better spectrum and would only be $30 or so more. Still, I like to hit that place on Monday afternoons after I've had a belly full of work...

So, I have to head up to SD for a couple of days... Should be a pretty drive, but I wonder what I should do with my clones... Most are 1.5 weeks old and showing new growth. Is it too early to transplant into soil? I assume that you leave the rock wool on the clone?

I've put rapid rooters straight into soil and taken clones straight to the rapid rooter and soil combo and worked great. So I'd imagine if you're close
to rooting you'd be fine, as long as you don't use something too hot, and it would probably be easier to keep things moist for a few days while you're MIA.

Thanks dispo. Their going into very moist happy frog in the morning. I'll feel better knowing that at least the medium will stay moist while I'm gone...

Did you all get that Blue Dream out? I don't want to miss that one :blsmoke:
 
Thanks for the help guys. They seem to be doing fine in their new digs. Would you trim the yellow leaves? The clone in the pic is the worst of the lot.

I am sure if you asked nicely you could have tons of cuts to try to clone.... I have too many fuckin mites atm to offer any myself, but i am sure if you want them they will find you.

I have to say out of all of the online communities I have ever lurked around this is by far the friendliest and most sharing group I have ever had the honor to participate with.
