Hey guys I'm on my first grow with Exotic Seeds Black Haze and 10 citizen clu048 1216 cob with 2 meanwell 320 drivers 600watts. I'm growing in live soil and I'm at day 43 and the first set of fan leaves that are huge for a sativa grew are starting to fade, I didn't do any defoliation yet, can anyone help identify the deficiency its having? Its live soil and its supposed to last the whole grow without nutes I need help on if theres ahh nutes that I can buy from from home depot or lowes or something I can buy online? Please help and any information is greatly appreciated!20180930_183336.jpg 20180930_183245.jpg 20180929_172333.jpg

Do you mean 43 days from seed?
Looks hungry.
N deficient and might need a balanced feed.
What brand is your soil? Is live soil a brand?
If it was my plant, not knowing what your soil is like and if it's only received water from seed I'd probably give it 2 TBL (if thats a 3 gallon smart pot) of epsoma garden tone 3-4-4 if I had to choose something from HD.

Yes 43 days from seed it's a autoflower so it doesnt grow like a photo plant its about 2 weeks into flower, live soil kits are super soils that are supposed to have enough nutes during the whole grow that you dont need to add any in it, the kits are kinda new and you can only add organic nutes or you can kill the microbes so I'm trying to find out if they have anything at home depot or lowes that I can buy or what I can order to add in it to help with the deficiencies, the only leaves are the first set of fan leaves besides that the rest of the plant looks good, the buds are covered in trichs smells strong, I just want to fix it before it gets worse

I would lst/ supercrop and drop the light closer imo.....

How are your watering habits? Your soil mix looks light on aeration (perlite)...... no bueno with leds

Good luck

Its mixed with coco and perlite and I have the lights in a V configuration its 2 300w cob lights and in my coco grow they were amazing, but this is a super soil grow it's my first so I dont know too much about it it's a test product for a company apotforpot its supposed to last the whole grow without adding nutes but as you can see i do need to add something I just need help on where is the best place I can go or order so I can make a top dressing or a tea for it

Inorganic nutes won't generally kill microbes until the fert concentration get's too high, which will most likely be phosphorus hitting 70 ppm. Even in that case microbes which have formed a symbiosis with the plant by embedding in the root system will have some protection against higher nute levels. Anything with low P, listed as a vegetative formula should be okay to use.

Looks like organic media (?) with no sand/silt/clay?

If it has inorganic components it can be watered too frequently and get a touch of the root rot. If the roots were tan during germination or at transplant there could be some root rot which persists despite the beneficial microbes, even when soil moisture is proper.

I use a product called Recharge that has promoted normal growth in organic media even when roots started tan.

But it could just be a lack of N. I'm not familiar with the use of all in one soils that don't need fertilizer. If watered enough with some flushing, N could leech out. Or, it could be too small a pot for the N to last. Or, PH tends to swing up during plant growth. If buffers aren't controlling PH it could be a bit high. That's why I like to do my own nute formulation with a basic peat/coil media, using PH adjustment and flushing to control PH and nutrient content throughout the grow.

If you choose to stay with organic nutes garden tone is organic.
If your only option is HD see if you can order some worm castings.
Top dressing or making a tea with castings and kelp meal could be a benefit also.
I can't tell what she needs, especially with an unfamiliar soil.
Along with nitrogen she may also be wanting some magnesium.
Knowing about the water source would help.
Is it tap or RO? If tap what are the ppm's?

Good luck whatever you do.

@Rahz Yeah sorry I keep doing this lol but heres everything I can tell you that I know , I am using a super soil and coco mix, the bottom layer is a pound of super soil and the rest is a mix of ss,coco, perlite with other things mixed with the soil that came with the kit, I use bottled water it says not to use distilled or ro water and it says to not overwater it which I'm 90% sure I didn't do at least I hope. I am going to get recharge this week but idk I dont have many options locally for nutes, now I have canna coco nutes and calmag for my other grow, i read you shouldn't add that to the soil and i didn't know if i could add the calmag to the soil

Ahhh coco, should be well draining then...

If you have access to this site, you also have Amazon:

Can look at roots organic terp tea, already micronized, cheap..... top dress, aact, or swirl it around in your watering can and apply..... whatever

Or down to earth bio live, can micronize it in a blade style coffee grinder.... cheap and effective all purpose.

Without a soil test, you could be doing more than good by adding ferts to precharged SS.

Good luck

DTE Bio Live is one of my favorites.
I only suggested garden tone because you wanted something from HD.

I'm confused about your water.
You use bottled water.
Never heard anyone say they are instructed to use bottled water but told not to use RO water.
Bottled water can be RO water or it can have minerals added.
Do you have a TDS meter? If the bottled water you are using has 0 - 10 ppms then I'm going to guess she is hungry and would have benefited from cal mag.
Someone with good tap water or a good ro/ tap water mix is delivering a small amount of calcium, magnesium with each watering along with a variety of other minerals.
Someone growing in soil if using ro or bottled water usually needs to supplement with cal/mag.

I'm not disagreeing with other ideas or suggestions.
I'm just seeing a plant that is hungry.
I held back on what I would feed in my original post.
Could be wrong but if it was my plant.
I'd top dress with Bio Live or something similar along with casting and maybe some gypsum.
Then I would water with some cal mag + and seaweed extract.

I'm just guessing though, I mean we don't even know if your soil PH is in a good range something else that should be known.
Have you done a slurry test on your soil or have an idea what the soil PH is?

I'm leaning towards a N deficiency too. Maybe a transplant into a larger pot with more of the super-soil would fix the problem without other purchases, but not sure if that's possible with the kit that was purchased.

Recharge is a good product but if the issue isn't pathogens then it's not going to fix the issue.

You shouldn't have any issues using the canna-coco nutes or cal/mag in that mix. I may have it mixed up but if I remember correctly canna-coco is a 2 part liquid and uses 50/50 A/B. If that's all correct I recall adding 6ml of A and B to a gallon of water and ending up with 5.5 PH no adjustment necessary. Bump it up to 7-8ml gallon each and PH should be closer to 6 for flower cycle. That will provide adequate N without it being a strong mix and should be low P at that amount.

At any rate, the plant is established so if there's no rot present the chances of it showing up now are very slim no matter what you do.

No I haven't yet but I have been using tap the past 2 waterings

Ok cool thanks for the info I'll get on that tonight

Looks like you are under feeding big time. There is some serious stress going on by the purple in your stalk. Add some fertilizer and maybe dim your light, theres no reason to give a plant a ton of light when you dont have the fert PPMS to match. hope that helps.

Thanks I'll do that now and even though it's a purple strain I do think it's also stressful too but that's for the info
