Citizen CLU048 par map?

Hi

I'm new, but have been floating around the forums for a while. I was planning on building an LED grow light with the cree CBX3590, but £50 each is too much. However, I'v seen the Citizen CLU048 for £14 each, and plan on having more chips spread out, but cannot find much info on it. So, I'd appreciate if any of you can tell me what the PAR is at 18inch high and 50/100w or do you guys have a graph like this (see attached image).

P.S. If any of you would like to suggest other COBs that would suit my need of having 1000Umols at 18" which covers 60cm x 60cm (2ft x 2ft) then I'd love to hear from you.

clu048 can describe any of a dozen chips

clu048-1818 is closest to a cxb3590

the par map you linked is for a single cob with a reflector and is more a function of the reflector than the cob itself. are you planning a single cob build? if not the effect of neighboring cobs needs to be considered

The chip I'm planning on using is the CLU048-1212C4-353H6M3-F1 and I'd like to know the the light spread with or without a reflector before I decide whether to run 1 at 100w or 2 at 50w each. To add, my grow space is 60cm x 60cm and 220cm tall, which means I shall be growing 4 plants 2 over 2 (double decker and topped/scrogged). So, I am considering running one Meanwell driver that will power 2 x 2 cobs. If that makes sense.

Do you suggest any other chips similar to the CLU048-1212C4-353H6M3-F1?

P.S. My aim is to ensure a equal 1000Umol over the 60 x 60 space.

look at the other par maps robin did with no reflector and with ledil angelina reflector. your spread will be similar regardless of whether you use cree or citi as both bare chips throw at the same angle. once you find a spread you like you can control intensity by current

if youre in a reflective space id use 4 of those citi 1212 cobs at 35-40W each without reflectors 12-16" above plants and it will be great. if you want to do with with one cob youre going to want 150-175W hung 24" above plants with no reflector. you wont cover the whole space if you use a reflector and then you want a different chip to run that hard. citi 1825 or vero29C

Thanks for all the advice. It's definitely given me something to think about

Edit: Been looking on your website and quantum boards look interesting. Would the QB288 be better than the cobs in any arrangement?

I find Mouser to be cheapest stockist of Meanwell products from a UK view point. However, they just cancelled my order due to some rule they have about UK VAT. #Waitingonrefunds
