I have never seen a difference from letting it set or using it on demand. I have for years now only used city tap water directly from the tap and organic nutes with beneficial bacteria.

Agreed. I've been running off of tap water for about a year now. (Hydroponics - Hempy buckets) And everything seems fine.

But I have my reservoir on 2 bubblers that constantly send fresh oxygen to the water. The chlorine and fluoride evaporates much quicker that way.

If you can still smell the chlorine after you've let it sit out(with airstones) , then I would find a new source of water.

Even spring water or rain water would be better than your tap water - and spring water is full of germs and bacteria! find a new source of water.

Yeah, agree with superstoner1 and spittn4cash...I just use my city tap water straight up and never worry about the chlorine, it doesn't seem to matter.
