Clarifications?

please forgive me if all this is covered in-depth elsewhere and if it is please point me that way!

i have a few general questions about the patient/caregiver program in maine.

1 a) must you disclose who your patients are when you file for an application?
b) if no , can you immediately pay the 1500$ (300$ x 5patients) and start growing the maximum?

2 a) is it still 6 mature plants per patient allotted?
b) does this include male & female?

3 a) what is considered a 'mature' plant?
b) is there still a grey area involving allowed number of plants below the 'mature' mark?

4 a) once harvested , how much product are you allowed to have in the curing phase?
b) how long can it be considered 'curing'?

5 a) how invasive is the state in checking on grow-operations?
b) has anyone been visited by state officials?

6 a) it was my understanding you had to have serious health issues (ie - parkinsons , MS , cancer) to get a patient card. my peers are proving me wrong in this , is it a simple task of walking into the doctors office and explaining how you feel medical marijuana improves your quality of life?
b) if you are a patient yourself , can you still have 5 other patients?

*bonus question*
what is you preferred lighting system?

thanks for helping me wrap my head around how to make this work!

1a. No
1b. Well, you could do that. But if you are for some reason caught with that many mature plants you better have patient agreements in place to cover them or you could lose your right to grow.
2a. Yes. 6 female, flowering, harvestable plants.
2b. A marijuana plant is defined as female flowering and harvestable. Therefore, non flowering females and males would not count. There are rules being proposed that would restrict the number of total plants, but those numbers did not appear onerous to me.
3a. 3b. See above.
4a. In addition to the allotted amounts allowed by patients and caregivers, an undefined quantity is allowed "harvested marijuana in varying stages of processing..." This language exists for both patients and caregivers. It does not define what varying stages of processing are, nor any quantities for them.
4b. See above.
5a. The original law passed in 2009 (well, the real original one was 1999, but I mean 2009) provided for inspections. The law was revised in 2011 which removed the inspections.
5b. I don't know of any specifically for marijuana growing. They do health inspections if you are going to do edibles and sell them.
6a. There are several conditions that clearly spell out where medical marijuana is indicated, and also some which give a doctor considerable latitude in deciding whether to certify. I don't know of that many doctors who are certifying to begin with, but those I do know of would not give it to just anyone. You need to have legitimate medical reasons. That said, I am sure that doctors can be fairly creative if they are so inclined. Very gray area.
6b. You know, I am not entirely sure about that myself. I am a patient, currently have 3 others I provide meds to. Can I have 1 more or 2 more? I dunno. I will cross that bridge when I get to it I guess. It will probably be well established by then anyway.

Bonus: I use 600w and 1000w metal halide, air-cooled hoods for veg, then switch to hps bulbs for flower. Digital ballasts, obviously.

thanks to tet and brookies.

i did read the law and asked what i asked for clarification. you guys have been doing this for awhile now and have the wording and interpretations hashed out.

sorry if this insulted you by making me seem lazy in asking for your insights.

Not insulted man, and I apologize for the not so warm welcome...No disrespect intended. To me the laws are clear, but glad you found the help you needed.
