class action against barriers

Hey all buckets mentioned in a thread that we should all ban together and try a class action lawsuit against the government for all the bs they have put mmj patients through. From barriers to access such as long waits to get your scripts back from hc to mmar being illegal if they change addresses. Please discuss.

Peace and grow strong my friends

sorry, I got distracted today to start a thread like you've mentioned. But yeah, I've spoken to quite a few people here in private and you guys all know the barriers that exist to us and the stress that it causes us. I mean in the new system. For me its the stress caused as well as the violation of section 7 of our charter when I consider leaving the MMAR and going into the new one.

I can list some of the problems I see and I was wondering if there were people who would like to take the feds to court as well as the organisation that tells the doctors what grams per day to prescribe. I don't know if that would be called a class action or a law suit or a constitutional challenge? I was wondering and speaking out loud to see if a bunch of people could save up some money individually and use that money to hire kirk the lawyer.

Some things I can see where reasonable access has not happened and what I feel we should get from the violation...

Compensate me and my friends for the barrier of cost per prescription plus annual fees.
Compensate me and my friends for the stress caused for violation of section 7 when it comes to sending in applications and having to wait for 5 months to get a licence and then have to reapply half a year later because the permit wasn't given the date of the application but the date it was approved.
Compensate me for the breech of privacy now in the acmpr which says in the details that your information goes to the doctors organization which is then passed on to those who fund them which is big pharma.
Compensate me and my friends for the doctors organizations failure to act on their unethical behaviour of taking money from big pharma who then dictates to them what amounts of cannabis are typical daily dosages.
Allow me to carry on my person more than 150 grams if I have a big prescription as I should be allowed to I feel to have a one months supply on me if I am traveling in Canada.
allow me to never have to renew again. Once I have my permit it's done.
allow me to keep my existing MMAR amount or increase it if I went into the new system I really need above the fed and doctors pitiful suggested amounts.
Allow me if I grow for myself to sell any excess so I have a pathway established should I have any extra weed from my harvest...allow me to sell it to the compassion clubs or to a dispensary.

of course the naysayers will say they won't ever let you do that. That's the whole point. To take them to court and to see if the arguments of section 7 violations would win us these things. We can all agree I hope that we would not have much at all if people hadn't had the internal drive to take the feds to court. Where would we be without those people before us who took the feds to court over the right of personal growing? I say the fighting needs to get specific now. And our blows need to be hard and deadly against them. I am asking the community if there are people who would join together and write out a shit tonne of the problems we all are facing and challenge the feds and the doctors organization(s) and see if we could win these things in court...

If you do nothing, you lose what you have....everyone knows I hope, that there aremany secret agendas unfolding in both Canada and the USA right now. Many of which are bad NWO type of stuff...If we do nothing....they're going to get control, power, and the money...we'll continue to be the slaves and they are the rulers in my opinion. The weed world is their last area that they're hoping to conquer for complete control. They want it....it's up to us in my opinion to fight against that but take it through the courts as we are winning there a lot it seems.

I totally ageee buckets. I can tell you that I have looked into the lousy producers a couple years ago just to prove there was barriers to access. I am let's face it in the financial lower class of society. Lol poor...anyways because I'm not on well fair or government assistance I don't qualify for the lps compassionate pricing thus causing a barrier to access due to the astronomical amount the lps charge.Plus the lps do not grow the specific strains that I need with certain terpenes profiles etc. Also the government is essentially holding me and my garden hostage I am legally allowed to grow in my residence from my mmar pinks. Well the wife really wants to move but we can't because if we do my garden is illegal. Yes I could go through the amrcp or what ever the new letters are but that is another barrier to access due to having to find a doctor that will sign for the same plant count. Then the crazy wait times on hellth Canada to get the script back some people have waited half the f@&&$ year to get a reply from hellth Canada another barrier.

having a ticket to grow never stopped anyone before who didn't have one....its going legal and patients have the right anyway!!!!!!!!!
I could go on

fuck HC
fuck Trudy boy
I have the right to do what the courts say I can do.
My Doctors say how my health is treated.
HC has NO SAY about my health.
Any COURT will attest to my reasoning.

cheers with the lawsuit !!! I hope it costs them LARGE

I'm pretty sure you do not need a new script to change addy's from MMAR to ACMPR.

So my script and plant count stay the same? My original doctor passed away and now the only doctor that will sign but for half of my mmar script.

anything coming from mmar or mmpr...should have been able to integrate into the Acmpr without all the additional barriers...
but more and more we see that is not the case. If they already have a file on you ...why would it be necessary to re-apply via the acmpr.
Address changes included ...should have been done seamless...

I agree with WHATFG. If you try to move your location or change DG or go from having a DG to growing yourself....any of those things will cause you to lose your MMAR standing. Make note REAL DEAL MAN because you're misinformed at the moment. I appreciate hearing how others are experiencing barriers to access.

I think an important thing to have brought up in court would be having no patients on the "expert" marijuana panel before they made their ridiculous recommendations and rules.
The barrier to starting materials is also a huge problem and completely absurd.
Acmpr patients are supposed to get starting materials from Lps however most Lps don't offer and have no intention of ever doing so.
Marijuana being a plant that looks to reproduce makes their idea of X amount of seed counting as a plant crazy. Missing a male and ending up with a seeded plant could make you an outlaw.
The doctors shouldn't be the gate keepers and no one should be trying to control the future of the mj community by playing genetic overlord.
Special applications for multiple people co op growing should also be an option.

I will def let you know....I'm kinda facing this again as well...in the next few months I will be trying to switch from opiates to oil and or dry sift
I will def need an substantial increase in my daily allowable to make the switch....and I'm not keen on seeing to many more doctors since I already see 6
regularly....and a couple more less frequently...but still....
the pain clinic should be able to do it....

I could become necessary for patients to have a voice (advocacy group) come next year...or we could become lost in the shuffle....
Like Torontoke said...we were really unrepresented on any of these expert panels..
Sure they accepted suggestions in writing, but where is that voice, when a supposed expert pipes up about or passes off info... about something patients would consider a barrier

when it comes down to specific information and peoples stories about the barriers we face...the group here I would bet
is a somewhat representative sample...of the things we face...in order to medicate with something we all know works for us and our specific ailments/diseases..
sure things go off on wild tangents....but can usually be brought back to reality...with a few good posts.
So if consulted and organized...the group here is as informed, as I have seen in today's realm of social media/forums/chat...anywhere
in North america. We have also got the advantage of looking south to the legal area's of the states.
This should also provide us with a huge advantage...and not by just copying something they have done....but rather as adding the Canadian twist to things that will suit the many patient's north of the 49th parallel .
