Cleaning a pesticide sprayer?

Just got back from a garage sell and found this FUCKING COOL pattery operated 1 gallon sprayer.
It says "Raid max" Its only the pump and it screws on to any gallon jug. The lady said she used it to water her plants.

Although its super perfect for clones it does say "RAID" Bug spray.

I have some "Pesticide" cleaner from my bigger 5 gallon tanks.

It looks ok,

Can this hold back chems then nuke my plants?

I had thought to use my pesticide cleaner powder and run about 3 gallons of hot water and hope to clean it

Then spray all of my clones!

Its only the battery pump, the tank is a clean milk jug.

It says its safe for use around pets.

II only have the pump!

Can the old toxins be washed out with alcohol so I can water my clones?

You're suppose to throw out the container, although the sprayer is reusable. I don't think it's recommended to reuse the container, and it can't be cleaned out completely- but personally I don't believe that. I rinse and soap it, then maybe use a bleach wash. Then maybe alcohol as a finishing rinse....if your clones die, you'll know what killed them. LOL

Its just so perfect, I wonder if I clean it how long till the clones die? Example if I use an already shitty clone.

Granted when I got this I had no idea it was for "Raid" as the lady said she used it for her plants but sounds like BS.

Hay only $5!

i would google that pesticide to see what it is souble the most in, then use that to clean it.

acetone or isopropanol are both good choices.

To a certain extent, anything plastic or porous will absorb a certain amount of whatever is put through it, but if you rinse it well, I don't see a problem.

I've killed sprayer heads that way. Some of the polymers in the mechanism swelled/cracked, i think. A good washing-out with strong soap, such as dishwashing liquid or driveway cleaner, would be my best bet. cn
