Cleaning DWC

I am ready to do my first water change in my DWC. But before I do, I would like to know what I need to get. I have never done a water change before. I am not sure what to do about my pH or nutes... I dont want to put my plant into shock by putting in too many or too few nutes when i change it out...

Do you have any meters to check the PH and PPM? What nutes are you using? You need to ph it to something between 5.2 and 6.0 for best results and add the nutes per the instructions. Clean it up well. You can leave the roots without water while you change for about 15-20 minutes. They actually like it. It's called an air bath.

I just ordered a pH meter, pH +/- yesterday. Hopefully they are worth the price. I do not have a ppm meter but i would like to get one sometime in the near future. What should i just use bathtub water to clean the tub or maybe a special solution. Currently I only have pH test strips and I think my pH is around 7.0

You probably don't need to do anything more than dump out the old shit and add fresh water and nutes. A quick rinse isn't a bad idea, but unless you have an infection, you don't really need to do much "cleaning".

never have cleaned my system during a grow only betwean grows. as said if you have no probs then theres nothing realy to clean out. keep your solutoin temps around the 67-68 mark and make sure there is no light leeks to your pots/rez and this will help loads to stay trouble free.

keep your pots filled to the top and even cut a platic circle larger than your pots cut a 2" hole in the midle and place it over the top if your plants are to big to allow this cut the circle on one side through to the hole then twist and place them round your plant stem.
