Cleanliness is next to great BUD-liness

I'm curious as to how clean everyone keeps their grow rooms. What Kind of cleaning products do you use? How often do you clean? What Kind of methods that you do?

For me:
Once a week sometimes more, I take everything out and spray down everything with Tilex. It's a cleaner that contains bleach and rids mold and mildew. Then I spray everything with the hottest water I can get into a spray bottle and wipe down, I do this 2 times after I sprayed the Tilex.
Plus, I use fresh paper towels for cleaning and wiping down everything.

I take apart my fans and wipe all parts of my fans. I wipe down the humidifier entirely.

Plus, I keep hand sanitizer right near both my vegetation room and blooming room for when I want to do any kind work in there. I use it before I do any work and after I've finished.

Shit man, do you 10 Monster energy drinks a day, or do you grow medicinally? Lets be honest, we're all stoners here, who has the energy to clean :P

I could never clean that much. First off, keeping the area tidy is perfectly fine. This would mean cleaning up trash, organizing nute bottles, etc. As for bleaching everything....seems unhealthy for the plants. By spraying that shit on walls and shelves there is a small amount being put into the air. If we think how a plant grows, it uses air (CO2) and water for the most part. So when you are putting extra chemicals in the air your bud could be tainted or who knows what else. This is just my opinion, but it also seems like common sense! I don't know of people cleaning the wilderness on daily basis with bleach? :peace:

I can't believe I'm explaining why I clean my rooms so well, knowing that RIU is such a great forum. I thought people on here would be as cleanly as I am.........I guess I was wrong.

I clean my rooms thoroughly because there is bacteria all around us, and when you add humidity, light, and warm air to the equation that's when fungus and mold starts to grow.

After I spray down my rooms with Tilex, I rinse it off twice with hot water.
Then I close up the rooms and let the blowers circulate the air throughout for about 10-15 minutes to get that bleachy, chemical smell out.

I am prettty meticulous like you, plus plastic attracts cat hair for some reason, so once a week I go all out.

No big deal man my grow room is the cleanest room in the house just iv'e not had to deal with moisture issues since my walls are treated with a mildew resistant paint there is so much airflow in there I doubt it would happen anyway, but clean on my good man if that is what you like to do:peace:

I spray and clean my room down right after harvest with a light bleach solution. Then I spray it down again right before I start up again. If my fans appear to have dirt or fuzz on the blades I will clean them- they stay pretty clean on their own.

I do not clean my room in an OCD manner, and I haven't had any issues.

Sorry if I sounded like a dick earlier, didn't have my morning energy drink yet! I understand cleaning as I do it often in the grow room, but I originally thought you were OCD and had more bleach in the room than oxygen. I do not bleach but just use water with a touch of soap to clean things up. Saw a nice spider in the corner too, he chills and eats all the random gnats coming through the window. Much love.!:peace:

Killing off all the little nasties is a double edge sword.

The plant (or us) doesn't get to exercise its immune system.
Leaves one more open to having a 'bug' kill us.

Nature takes care of its self. Humans will pass too and become a fossil fuel field someday.
