Clear trichomes + red tips?

Hi all,

I'm at week 8 of flowering, and I could use some opinions. This strain (Putang) is supposed to finish flowering in 8 - 9 weeks.
Some plants are showing trichomes that are mostly clear, with a good percentage of red tips. I'm not sure what to make of those.
I thought the trichomes would go cloudy before any colored tips would appear.
The rest have mostly cloudy trichomes and look about ready to harvest.

Thanks in advance

Yeah, me too!

Pictures 2 and 3 are from a flower that was around 10" below the canopy, which is why there are white hairs. I mainy posted those to show the red tips
Pictures 1, 4 and 5 are toward the top. The flowers at the top have very few white hairs left.
I would wait for the bottom ones to ripen

I'm going to say it's more than likely to be gencit by the looks of your ladies you have done a great job now be patience for up to at least 3 weeks but keep an eye on them check the leaves also as always thank you for your time and the best of luck

Hi - thanks for everyone who replied.

It's been 3 weeks now and I haven't seen much change with the trichomes. Leaves are mostly yellow now (some plants more than others). Pistils are all dark.
I am still giving flowering nutes (full strength), so I'm not sure if I should reduce the concentration (House and Garden nutes).
Temps have been around 65 - 67 during daytime and 62 - 65 at night. Humidity has been around 38 - 45. Light spectrum is mostly blue.

I am not sure how long the harvest window will stay open. Any recommendations? Keep waiting? What signs should I look out for to indicate that the window is closed or closing? I'd hate to miss it because I was waiting for something that may not happen....

Thanks again for your help

I have a random unknown strain in week 6/7 of flowering.

She is starting to change colors. The fan leaves tips are starting to turn almost a magenta color and the leaves themselves have a shade of magenta as well. And because of this I swear all the trichomes around the coloring look amber.

Sometimes its just hard to tell what stage the trichomes are at because of the coloration.

I have learned. Calyx.

Look at all the calyxs and go by trichomes on them. Safest bet.

Image 7427....

I believe I see some kind of web going from 1 leaf to another and its 3 separate leaves I see that have a web connecting them... does anyone else see this?

May just be some type of hair. 20201122_160659.jpg

Lovely looking bud and very well played

Take a closer look at pic 2, you have a fox like creature coming out the bud top right corner.

I can see it very clearly and in stoned as feck.
