Clearing under canopy

So I just got my scrog board and everything set up a couple days ago, and it's quite difficult to make sure I water evenly and not soak the lowest sets of leafs.
The plants as re about 4 weeks old, and I was wondering if it would be okay to start gradually trimming off some of the lower fan leaves?
Also, was hoping for some opinions on when I should start flowering?
I want the scrog board completely filled but I dont want them to be overcrowded to the point that it may hurt them. I'm just not sure how much I should expect them to stretch

I think you can trim any lower leaves that are not getting sufficient light.

Yeah the 2 lowest sets of leafs are literally sitting on the dirt because the branches that grew off the same node are so thick they are pushing them down into the dirt, so I'm just in a bit of a hurry to chop them off so I dont run any risk of mold, and they definitely aren't getting sufficient light

if the lower fan leaves are showing signs of distress or wilting because of light deprivation I would cut them. If they look like they're still contributing to growth let them be, they live in dirt. Yield has many factors but with adequate lighting and good genetics 5-6 oz/plant should be doable.

The first set were showing severe signs, and the second set mild, but I cut both off and left the rest. Once I get about 2 weeks into flowering I'm going to start clearing under the canopy a little bit at a time.
I honestly have no idea how I'm going to manage this scrog board during the flowet stretch lol. Most of the main branches are going to run straight into the wall, and trying to curve them back around is going to be quite difficult. I'm think that I'll try running them along the wall for a couple spaces then turn them back inward so I dont have to put too much stress on them.

What is the light you have?

2 300 watt vivosun full spectrum led

So these plants have very thick leafs and their blocking the new branch sites from direct light. Should I go ahead and tie back the main branches to about an inch under the scrog board to spread out the canopy and allow light in, and then untie them when their long enough to rest against the board and keep spread out?

Things are moving along quite nice here. 2 days into flowering. Seems like every couple of hours I check in they've grown a noticeable amount
