One would think if the province allows dispensaries and etc the growers would be able to sell to them, no?
Yep. whoever has a dispensary will also have dedicated growers they trust.
Dispensary license and grow license go hand in hand. Obviously

If you want to know what the markets going to be like here in the future take a look at the video on YouTube.. The daily grind #217 brown guy 420.
This guy is where we all want to be and he’s finding out the hard truth after a hard season of growing so many pounds and a very flat market.
The businesses that tag there dope at right prices weather it’s kush or not are going to succeed.
Great video if anything.
Yeah, that was an eye opener. He said he would be lucky to get $400/lb for his outdoor and $700/lb for his indoor in this market. His product is organic, pesticide free btw.

Apparently, OR has a million pounds in inventory, but the state demand is only half that per year. Lots of bud is going unsold. And since it's controlled seed to sale, they can't divert it to black market or out of state sales. It has to be sold in state, to licensed sellers.

So $454/pound is $1/gram. That's all the retail shops will pay. How much can they charge for it if everyone is paying $1/gm for top shelf stuff?

You know the LP's aren't going to want millions of pounds of extra production to compete with. There still isn't an export market.

Eventually that’s how Ontario will be along with surrounding provinces. Overloaded with bud.

First thing, if you get a craft growers license you can only sell to LPs. So umm yeah, not much customer service or setting price points will be happening.
Micro growers can sell to micro processors. Micro processors may be able to also get "A separate authorization would be required for sales directly to the public" as outlined in sections 2.2.7 and 2.2.8. Multiple licenses can be held so this is a potential in. Much will depend on the province at first, but even if only a few provinces allow it, the remaining will eventually see the tax benefits and follow imo.

Unless they're only LP sanctioned dispensaries. Dont forget they always try to work their way into the chain on command somwhere. In this case they'll be the last step before retail sales. So just like I said earlier about how the maple syrup induatry works here, so to will the cannabis industry.

Meaning someone grows it and sells it to the LPs or middle man for a low price. Then the LPs /middle man sell it to another regulated body(LP for the first while) who then prices it and takes it to market

The more you think about it and see what’s going on in other legal states .
All in all it may just not be worth the trouble.
300-400 a pound for good outdoor and 700 pound for good indoor.
Small mom and pop shops with focus on quality over quantity will succeed.

I personally think success will be based on the actual grower of the mom and pops shops. It’ll turn into “ ohh so and so is the grower over at Herb for Life and grows pure quality so I recommend you try them.

Eventually prices of cannabis will be that of corn.

Hell eventually you’ll be able to pull off the side of road and pick a few buds like it was corn.

. Hopefully I will have secured a piece of land with my Medical already going when these phantom licenses come about and then I can adapt over if licensing is feasible to the average Joe.
If anyone wants to go splits on some land so we can do some outdoors let me know.
