clone clipped from a flowering plant

I've heard this is a not-so-ideal practice so I had never done it but a veteran grower offered premium genetics as just that so naturally, sure! I'll do my best. 1 week in water then straight into the dirt, its been weeks now and it seems to be still flowering. New pistils and a sweet odor at 5" tall, it seems to be continuing flowering instead of reverting to veg. Is this what happens or will it eventually revert? Any input is appreciated. Thanks

It'll eventually revert..
I'd also put it under 24 hours of light ti help it back to veg mode in case you're using something like 20/4 or 18/6..

These things turn into bushes with a ton of "tops" during flower. I have a C99 cut taken from a flowering plant and it is insane right now.

I've noticed when I cut a flowering clone after a month it finally starts to veg but still wouldn't grow as fast as it normally does . So I wait until there is enough to cut a new clone and then junk the flowering one. When I first tried it I let the flowering cut clone keep vegging and the new clone I cut grew faster and was bigger in just a couple weeks including rooting time

I'm experimenting with the same thing I left mine on a flowering cycle it is making one big nice bud but it is growing slowly

I did this not too long back. I decided to take cuttings at ~22 days into flower and clone. Took a while to root (but it was sativa anyways), but I did get two good clones. One is outside looking very good and the other is in my flower tent looking just like mom. Go for it.
