clone in bad shape, will it make it?

i have a clone that was given to me and it has been topped out and only has two fan leaves. when i transplanted from a cup into bags, it has very long healthy white roots, so i know the rootzone is good. it has been almost 3 weeks under 18/6 MH and has not shot out any new growth yet. being there is no top and only two leaves, i'm kinda worried, although it does have nice roots.

does anyone have any experience salvaging a clone in bad shape like this? will it just take alot longer for new leaves to grow?

Give it some time to grow out. If it dies it will die. I wouldn't just give up on it myself, from what I am seeing.

ya i'm definitely not giving up on it since it is a killer strain and it's my only clone of it. it's just that with my other rooted clones of my strain, they usually start growing out after about a week, but of course they aren't topped out and have more leaves. so this is my first time dealing with a clone this battered. i'm staying positive tho because it does have nice long roots, but i'm thinking it's just concentrating on root growth at the moment because it only has two leaves...anybody thinks this sounds about right?

If it's got some good root growth, then it's doing well. You're right, it is taking care of it's root system. Once it's ready it will start growing out very nice.

Unless that is the only plant under the light I would just let it grow. If that is the only thing under your MH, I would toss it. I think it looks like a goner.. Those leaves are starting to look brittle and look at the curl. are the ends brittle??

i have another clone of the strain i've been working for a while that's also under the MH. but this one is a new strain for me that i picked up recently, querkle. it was three clones initially when i got it but the other two damped off and died, so was left with this one and actually i'm surprised it made it.

yes you have a good eye, the leaves are becoming more brittle, next week will be three weeks and to be honest, nothing has changed. but like i said when i transplanted in to the bag it was in a beer cup and the whole cup was taken over by long white roots, it just sucks because there isn't much foliage. i just wish it would sprout something so it will live, hate to lose a strain i haven't even grown yet

so what happens to a clone that has great roots but hardly any leaves?
