Clone Only Cultivars

I bought an ounce of Purple Urkle/urple and got 1 seed, but i have heard you can only grow this by cloning. I am confused on what this means. Can i grow this seed, and if female harvest?

yes u can but what a clone only strain means is that it is a phenotype and since its a pheno if u breed it for seed u will get all kinds of results instead of consistant so yea u can grow it and it might be exactly the same or could be completly different more than likey different but simular so go for it cant hurt at all

and u might get lucky and get the same pheno and then u can have unlimited clones. just go for it the worst that can happen is that its not purple

That other guy was close, but he forgot to mention its clone only because only a female version of the strain is known. If it is only available in female form, than any seed would be the offspring of a father of a different strain. Therefore, to truly have the strains original genetic characteristics, you must acquire a clone, because growing out the seed will be a hybrid with an unknown father.
