Clone vs seed. ? What would you pick

I've been growing almost one year now and every time it's been from clone that I've bought from the medical despencary. Now I've learned to mother my favorite so far (Jack herer) then I cloned the whole grow this time from that plant. I'm now looking for seed to grow outdoors this season and the yeild they clame coming from these seeds feminized and all , even indoor yeilds are alot more from what I'm used to? So now I'm thinking about growing from seed from now on. So I'm interested in why that is and do you realy get that much more from seed than from clone? I'd love to see what everyone thinks. Clone vs seed?

Clones. You know the sex, you know the strain, they can be vegged sooner than seeds and therefore harvested sooner.
Seeds. Easier to propogate than clones. There is always a bit of variety even if they came from the same parents. They store better and are easier to give to people.

To me, the pros and cons are almost equal, but i go with CLONES by a small margin.

i keep a mother for clones and i grow from seed. ive been growing bagseeds for over a decade and i like to grow a seed out and if its good i will add it as a mother or replace a mother i usually would keep 2 mothers so i dnt get board than if another good one comes along i will keep a clone from it and keep going and replacing mothers if needed or if im tierd of tha same old i will grow a few new seeds to find a new mother

if you veg a clone for as long as you veg a seed you will get close to the same amount, if not more from the clone because of its maturity. Its all about the veg time

Sweet. Than I don't see a real reason for getting more than one fem seed. When I can mother one and then turn it into many two and a half months later for a lot less $. Plus they would be all from the same DNA wich is better for growth as a whole. Can anyone say this isn't true.

I just started my first grow yesterday. I've been reading this site and building my growspace for a few months. I picked up 2 clones from the dispensary because it seemed easier than starting from seeds for my first grow. However, the local clubs where I live are really limited as far as clones go so if all goes well I'll be starting from seeds next time

If your looking for higher yield then clones is what you want...if you plant a whole bunch of (Fem)seeds the phenos will vary...some with good characteristics some with bad characteristics....you don't know what to expect...plants will more then likely look different have different flowering periods have different nutrient requirements....overall it's more work for unknown results...the best thing to do for higher yield is to find a plant with traits you desire and clone off of her then when you get tired of that strain buy seeds and find another mother and clone off her and so on..
