Recently got clones. Since then, had a couple of really hot days. Think I messed up putting them under a 600w light (not sure but I think they were under fluorescent) the ventilation has been on but one day the room got up above 85. Since then they have been shoveling up one by one. Is there any way to save them? Need help please!!!!!!

They are 3 weeks and rooted and the ones that have shriveled have nice white roots in the soil. They aren't under a dome. The t5 is a 6 bulb about 328w of light. Each one is different and some look dead but have a nice root system. Should I top them or what. Really bummed. Will get pics soon.

I would definitely get them under a doom and see what happens. Especially if they have been raised in a doom before you got them. If so, I would put them back into one till they are healthy to be on their own. I would not top anything off just yet, It does not take much to shock these babies. Also get the temps down around 75 with the lights on, 85 is too hot for them. Do what you can to bring the temps down fans, AC. Keep in mine that the room temp may not be the same temp you have on the tops of your plant. I used and air temp probe to see what my temp are at the top of my plant. It may be hotter than you think...

Pics would really be nice, but it sounds like too much too soon w/the lights, I use CFLs anyway to avoid the burn factor and elec bill..lol..and no don't top, they've been stressed enough let em go and no dome either they shoudn't need it, what's done won't heal so look for new green growth and you'll be fine...and welcome to RIU :bigjoint:

EDIT: More info as well as pics, or we're all just guessing, we need medium, nutes & schedules, normal temps & humidity, how close are the lights ect...

There is no benefit to putting rooted plants under a dome,if anything it would encourage rot or mold.

Too much light. They have roots, but I don't really consider those established. Create a dome to see if that helps, and I like to add aloe to my water when dealing with stressed plants.

Couple of pics. First of the better looking one. Next is not so good and the root system
WOW those things are drowning, it looks like a ball of mud with roots, mix some perlite with your soil so it drains well and don't water soooo much, ur lovin it to death man I did the same thing when I started :wall:

How much aloe? And regular aloe squeezed from the plant? Will that help the withering leaves restore themselves? Has anyone had a plant lose everything up top but have good roots and establish new growth or are those lost?

Yes. Either the juice/gel from inside one large outer leaf or a bit over a tsp of bottled gel that is free of preservatives (my local health store carries this). It may not restore the withering leaves, but it seems to help with shock. Some of your plants look lost, but it sounded like you wanted to save as many as you can.
