Clones not rooting

Ok so i took cuttings from plants some 8 weeks ago. I was patient thinking they may take longer because of the cold, however i removed them fro the coco i had them in today to see if any roots had formed and nothing!

They still look alive, so just wondering if i should try them in the ezcloner..... Should i cut the ends off the cuttings again or just leave them?

Anyone have any experience with rooting cuttings after sch a long time?

never 8 weeks to root maybe 25 days at the most.. in my opinion i would re-cut under water and then use the ez cloner .. its called that for a reason.. with in 7-10 days you will see roots showing.. but if it were me i would have started in the ez cloner..

14-21 days is average for rooting to happen with most strains. Did you use any hormones? Coco can be a little more tricky. Depending on your prep of the coco will determine how "hot" it is. If you have a ez-cloner try it. I would recut the ends dip in a liquid rooting hormone and place them in. If not...rockwool cubes work very well. I would use these as an experiment and cut some new ones and right into the cloner or cubes...JAS

Yeah i was being really lazy at the time and couldnt be bothered cleaning out the ezcloner. For the sake of 5 mins work ive now lost weeks, but on the positive side if they root they will be on time to go straight into tent :) jus had some coco lying around put them into this in small pots and under humidity dome.

Must have been something wrong the coco or upon transplanting. I dont use hormone never have ive had 100% sucsess before without it, guess it must have been the coco. I will never try this method again.

Thanks for the advice will try cutting again and placing in ezcloner. Its my own fault for trying to cut corners, but i guess you learn from mistakes too. Will post p as soon as they have rooted with pics. Fingers crossed :)

nfortunatly girls are currently in week 4 flower so no chance of cutting new clones. If these dont work out its start from seed again!

Although you should have asked for help long ago, good on ya for keeping rootless clones alive that long.

scientific data shows that when cloning root development is enhanced with just 620nm and is a process called phytocrome manipulation. so if you have an all red panel or a dinky led spot bulb that would be best. once rooted, then the plants will be needing a full spectrum again for the vegetative stage.

also cloning success is highly determined on where on the pants were the clones taken from. top/middle/bottom this all has an varied hormone concentration.

agreed with tiki. and i might add, that there are a bunch of other variables that go into it. for instance, are you using heating pad? Roots LOVE warmth and helps contribute to rapid growth. Are you at least putting them in a humidor or closed environment? I can't even imagine what my clones would look like after two months without growing roots! You have to understand that the most moisture a plant loses is through its leaves, so a high humidity is required. EZCloner would be nice, I'd like one too! But it can def be done without spending the money. If I had to guess at your problem, it would be temps. Keep it warm and humid, just like a "warm apple pie" :) Good Luck buddy, Have fun!
