Clones seem to be growing VERY SLOW

I took these clones about a month ago. They were rooted in a homeade cloner and did extremely well. They were then transplanted into a red solo cup for about 2 and 1/2 weeks. From there they were transplanted into 2 1/2gallon pots, in hyponex soil. They are under eight 100watt cfls. I am feeding them foxfarm nutes at about 7.0ph. These are Kera WW fem seeds. My issue is, and I may be worrying on this too much, but they seem to be growing much slower than the 2 plants I have grown from seed. Is that normal or is there a reason for the slow growth?

I'm working on some pics....I'm having trouble uploading. However, for the time being.....the clones are 12" tall and extremely bushy, but the stems and leaves seem to be way too small, comparatively to what I get from seed! I AM WORKING ON PICS!!!

And you have them under 800 TRUE watts of CFL?
No, actually, it's not 800 true watts, which anyone who grows under cfl's could grasp....but that actually isn't even really an issue because I have used the same light setup and yielded 1/4lb from plants. If necessary, I will put up pics of a plant started under the same cfl's and flowered under a 400watt hid that's 36" tall. I'm doing something wrong with the clones....I need someone to give me a little info on what's being done wrong....AND ITS NOT THE LIGHTING, I promise!!

Sorry to bring up the lights lol, but how far from the tops of the plant are they? Are those still the one half gallon buckets? For a month of growth under 200 watts of CFLs ;), those dont look too bad. Nice LST.
Maybe try varying the pH to 6.5 ish? A bit of side lighting for those lower leaves that are drooping?

They are still under the 8 100watt cfl's, about 6" from the light. As far as "lst" they have been topped twice, and kept at a decent temp and humidity. I definitey agree about needing more side lighting but at this point, I can't give them that much lighting. I'm working with cfl's for veg and a 400watt hid for flower. It seems to work beautifully for plants started from seed but my clones don't seem to thrive as well as the plants started from seed. I'm just wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if that's how it goes for clones.

Clones tend to grow significantly faster in veg than they would from seed. If you are doing the exact same thing as last time and these are growing slower than it is probably something to do with the environment (temperature and humidity). If it is a different time of the year than when you grew last time and you arnt doing anything to adjust room humidity and or temperature, that could be your problem. What is your temp and humidity? Plants in veg will grow faster in high humidity (not above 70% though) and high Temps (not above 85 ish preferably).
And btw, go ahead and go 3 to 4 inches from the tops of the plant. Light intensity changes exponentially, and with CFLS a few inches can make a serious difference.

My clones seem to be growing slower than my plants started from seed. That's what I'm having an issue with. My temp is about 73f and my humidity is at about 50%. My grow is not in a tent, it's in a "kinda ghetto" setup, if that explains anything, but it's worked nicely, except for my clones. My lights have been about 6" from my plants but they stayed so short that I raised the lights to about 10" from the tops!

....let me post a pic of the plant, I started from seed, grown in the same environment and everything....

The mother is looking good. I don't know what to tell you at this point. Maybe give her a bit more nutes if you really want speeded up growth. And forget gaining a bunch of height, keep those CFLs close, it's better to keep your plant short, and letting your plant stretch when you are using CFLs like that will only hurt yields. Be patient with her I guess, and keep in mind the flower stretch too.
Btw, if I were you, and you have that HID open for use, fuck those CFLs lol! Put your plant under the HID on 18/6. It will probly work better than the cool white fluorescents... just use those at the very start. I do HPS the entire grow, cuz the flower stage is where it all matters and 400W HPS > 200 W of ANY color CFL, even in veg.

Well, what I'm doing is using the cfl's for veg and the hps for flower. It works good on plants grown from seed but the clones I take seem to grow much slower than the plants started from seed....any advice on that?

If everything is the same as your last grow, and you are sure if this, you have stumped me. Once your clones are rooted and transplanted, they should theoretically grow much much faster than they would from seed. I have seen it myself.... in fact my clones grew so fast, they almost outgrew my tent. I couldn't control it. I don't know what else to tell you.

I know that's why I'm questioning the clones growth!! I figured they would be ready to flower much sooner than what I started from seeds but it doesn't seem that it's working out that way. I guess all I can do is be patient, like you have suggested, and see how it turns out. I will keep an update on this thread, if it's of any importance to anyone....thank u much for your help!!!
