i had the same problem as you, seems like cloning was longer. but if you have the right setup it is actually much faster. but i felt your frustration on waiting for clones to boom in growthI have dabbled with cloning, made a aero clone and i have obviously started from seedling and to be hinest i like seeds better i think. cloning seems to be taking entirely too long to get to a point where i can flower. maybe im not doing something right but it seems to take around 3 weeks from cutting to getting new growth. a seedling in 3 weeks will be around 1-2 ft tall depending on genetics. just thought i would add my experience.
as far as genetics the clone is going to be an exact copy of the mother like above said.
I completely disagree. It can lose its punch if the grower is not keeping the plant in good health and executing good propagation techniques... But a clone that is taken care of will stay strong for years and years... I've got some approaching 4 years old that are producing better than those first couple of runs.it can lose punch after a couple of run threws
Good call. You get know the strain inside and out and the better you understand your plants the higher the yield. I don't need to mess about very often with EC metre and ph. I know from the start of each grow that when I clean my res, I know exactly how much nutes etc to get my EC and ph perfect without checking metres. I know that in 6th week flower I have to refil my tanks every 2 days almost to the hour.I completely disagree. IMO, a clone gains resin content and loses about 4-5 days of 12/12 needed after it is about a year old.
Also, after you work a clone a couple times you know exactly what it wants and you can cater to its needs. With a seed, it's pretty much one shot.
I have yet to find a plant that is so difficult to root cuttings from that it is not worth it to work as a mother.
Well that makes sense .... We're did the clones come from ina de first placeSome strains are clone only...
The chicken....Well that makes sense .... We're did the clones come from ina de first place
