I cloned my plants about a week ago now. Some of them have started to put down roots already and are not looking bad. Now i know they go through wilting or sick phase sorta where they don't look that good. well mine have some discoloration on the leaves. I will post pictures and would like to be told if that is normal. I have been using a foilar spray that is supposed to encourage root growth aswell. I will attach photos of them inside and outside of the dome i keep them in.

i think your problem is that the clones leaves werent cut in half...this is essential cuz if its not done the clone will continue to veg and take up ferts instead of trying to root...also make sure they arent under too much light

Is it just me or is that rockwool " SOAKED". I use an aerocloner, but have used rockwool in the past, and they look way, way to wet.

When you say that do you mean the fan leaves on the sides? Those should of been trimmed off?

And as for the cube being soaked. They are not soaked but they are wet yes.

It is normal for some yellowing of the leaves when the plant is getting ready to root as it is Drawing nutes from the plant and focusing on root growth. the big fan leaves on the clones if you cut about 1/3 of the back (cut the tips off) this can help them not yellow so badly. and ya wots up with ur cubes they do look soaked

When they start to root you don't want them to drowned, you want the rock wool to be moist. Trim off all the dead or yellow in there.

When I used rockwool, I'd pre soak them to lower the ph. I bought a cheap $0.25, plastic salad spinner @ my neighbors yard sale. I'd spin 'em close to dry. place the cutting in the RW and then set the RW, for a quick 1/2 second, in a lid of a bowl w/ no more than 1/8" deep clonex & water solution. Just keep the RW moist, and bottom feed/water. Everytime I needed to re-wet the RW, I would mix a very small batch of clonex, get out my lid and dip 'em. Just to wet the bottom 1/4" or so. Shake it off, Wet, Not SOAKING. The reason===When the new roots pop out, if the RW is to wet, they will drown. I bottom feed them because, You want the roots to grow down and out of the RW. If you keep the top 1/2 of the RW moist, there is no urgent need for the roots to head south. Hope this helps, some has been stated before, some hasn't. Good luck!
