Cloning A Bud

Ever had one of those strains you just have to keep because it's just so damn good? I found mine this summer when I grew some Kandy Kush. I tried to clone the plant several times over a period of about 2.5 months, without success.

The main issue was always heat. Tried different stuff to clone in, an aero cloner I made, potting soil, dropped clones in plain water in a cup, rock wool cubes, and nothing would work.

I ended up getting some clones, however. What did I do? I cloned buds. This thread will document how I did it. Don't let them tell you it can't be done because I am doing it!

I am using a T5 to veg the clones under. They are in some soil I got from my local garden center. I use this soil for all of my indoor grows. The soil is pretty well amended and does not need any nutrients added for some time. I have grown plants to 3 feet in it under a 1kw and not had to use nutes until the stuff went into flower.

Tried several times cloning this before it started budding - Kandy Kush;

A couple of weeks after I harvested I found this - 10/10/11;

I cut off the buds and put them in rock wool cubes, I started with eight clones;

They are going through re veg and rooting at the same time 11/01/11;

And we have lift off some 4 weeks later - 11/19/11;

Your pictures are not working. I does have good results try using a medium that doesn't have fertilizer this way the roots will go looking for nutrients.

its alot easier to clone during veg. basically you do the same thing but try scraping the bottom few inches of the stem before you put it in the ground. i always use soil and it works fine for me. but if what your doin works good for you then keep at it bro.

I always clone in veg. This is the first time I have ever tried it with buds. I did it this way because it was the heat of the summer and I could not get the thing to clone for shit. As soon as the weather cooled off all was well.
