cloning after flowering

Hi. I have read and heard different opinions regarding cloning after flowering. 2 or 3 weeks into flowering, can I still clone once I have determined which plants are females or should I only clone before flowering and get rid of males? What do you guys think?

Yes you can!

It will take longer cause of revegging but it can be done.

As long as its 2 or 3 weeks in it shouldn't stress or hermie it at all. just add a few more weeks to veging.

Its hard to get a healthy clone off a flowering plant,Ive done it but I would take them before they flower,if your not an expert cloner you will never get a flowering cut to root.Ive cloned thousand of cuts and and takeing a cut off a flowering plant is still a bitch for me.I wont do it unless I have to....peace

That makes a lot of sense,no way do they root faster. My healthy cut off a unflowering mom will smoke your flowering cut all day long. Not to mention the stress your putting on your cuts.If theres a hermie trait you will find it doing that crap...peace

Your third option is cloning the plants before budding and making sure you have the clones clearly marked. Then bud the other plants and discard the adult plants and clones that turn out to be male.

Cloning when flowering does work, and fast. Make sure you keep your cutting under the same exact photoperiod as the flowering mother until you get roots. The reason i would assume most people struggle with cloning during flowering is because they take the cutting and put it into a different light cycle causing added stress. The shitty part in the end though is very clear, if you want to re-veg your just adding extra time, and maybe some genetic degradation. Only exercise this practice if its a must-do situation.
