I've been doing some reading on a method called "Monster Cropping". This is exactly what you have. In that process, you purposefully take clones from a flowering plant. They claim that about 3 weeks into flowering is the best result. I'm planning to do this with a few clones and grow 4 "Monster Cropped" plants, alongside 4 regular clones in my next round to see the difference. Look it up, it sounds sweet, just not sure if it works with all varieties and they say it does take a while to re-veg/root, but the results shown in some articles look like it's well worth the trouble.
Grow it out, let's see what you get, it should be a bushy plant with an incredible amount of nodes
. not a bad thing you stumbled across. And yes, they do seem to look retarded for the first while until they start re-vegging
