MTy plants are about three weeks into flowering after seeing female characteristics. I decided i wanted to clone and i was wondering if its safe to clone at this point? Any advice would be useful.
yes you can clone now. try to choose a lower branch without a flower and put them into 24 hours of light. I have done this before and didnt have a problem. it may take a couple weeks to get roots. I foliar spray mine with Canna Rhizotonic a couple times a day
You can clone a flowering plant, it will just take longer to root. Make sure to revert it back to its vegetative stage of lighting and get some Wilt Spray and give them a good spray of that. Wilt Spray is said to be a godsend for cloning.
I would not use superthrive. Although many people have great luck with it and will suggest it superthrive is powerful stuff and easy to overdose the baby. I would get a root stimulator like rhizotonic or clonex. if you cant get any just use pH'd water and spray a couple times a day. If your humidity level is high enough you wont have to spray. Like I said I use rhizotonic as a root stimulator with good results. Its pricey stuff but I have had great luck with it and won't switch to anything else.
Do not use superthrive for any thing cloning. They are much too young to handle it. Use it only later in veg and flower. There is some really cheap rooting hormone called rootech that you can find at any nursery or general garden store.
what medium are you trying to root your clones in? rockwool? aero? bubbler? you can cut your clones and just use water until you can get some rooting hormone
superthrive is only hormones and vitamins you can give it whenever i use 2-5 drops per gallon water when i use it and it is a root stimulator B-1 vitimin
