Cloning help question

I have a plant that has been flowering for a few weeks. A bottom branch that a flower on it has been slightly chewed at the stem by my cat...........
Should I let it continue growing as apart of the plant or can i cut it and put it in water and try to clone it? This is not a part of the main stem but a branch with five small leaves and a flower. Can this part of the plant acquire roots if cut and placed in water? What would you do?

In my experience water cloning and cuts from plants later in flowering dont work too well. You say your a few weeks into flower though so that doesnt apply here , cut the clone as u normally would and tweak the stem underwater to prevent air bubbles and then leave it in the cup making sure no leaves touch the water. Put under a veg light cycle. They dont need alot of light, in fact i keep mine in semi-indirect lighting. In 2-3 weeks you should see roots.

Some people get results with a glass of water on a window sill. Your chances might not be that high but you have a chance.

Photo 57.jpg I cut it just because it was pretty damaged already and i figured waiting would only lessen the chances of a successful clone. I have stupid but innocent questions. Am I wasting my time? The stem is very very small, only about 3/4 of an inch long and pretty skinny- not very mature. This was a branch off of the stem below the first node closest to the soil. Is it possible for this part of the plant to be cloned? I took a quick shitty pic just to see if someone knows that there's no chance at the clone. Let me know - thanks a bunch.

If I stuck that in my aero-cloner it would root. I wouldn't bother unless I wanted to keep the genetics and make a mother plant or something though. So unless you need it I wouldn't bother with anything but a glass of water to be honest.

thats not a real big problem actually, simply put some saran wrap or something similar over your pretty much full cup of water, poke a hole in the saran wrap or whatever you use and then take a toothpick after putting the stem through the hole and tweak for airbubbles. It will probally root. Make sure the water level doesnt get too low.

Cool. I'm just a new and excited grower.. have my first two plants going right now, both female and about a 1.5 ft. I want more plants and more experience that's the only reason I'm keen on trying to save it. Thanks for the help.

You should cut clippings off the other two females before flowering them. Your clipping could have been turned back into Veg. cycle in two weeks longer than a normal clone off a plant that is still in the vegetative state.
