I've taken some clones of a John Sinclair Amsterdam skunk feminized plant I am growing.
The clones are becoming kind of brown/black on the top sides of the edges of the leaves, and an image with a microscope shows tiny black dots. I'm thinking it's just simple pythium due to high humidity and heat, tap water vs filtered, didn't clean my tools and environment enough. Or perhaps some kind of black fungus, mostly for the same reasons?
I have snipped all the effected stuff off, scrubbed the floor, and removed the humidity dome completely. (The dome needs to be cleaned separately now but if it's mold or fungus, enough with the moisture.)
I'm hoping though that somebody with some experience can give me a second opinion.
Setup:
Basically just cloning with a dome, rockwool, wilson root gel, heat mat on 100% (no timer).
The grodan rockwool was soaked for a while with PH balanced tap water, to about 5.5 ish.
They get a decent amount of light, sitting in the bottom of a tent which has 1 2-foot T5 and another 150w (power) CFL lamps. (it's inside a 4x4 tent with 100cfm exhaust)
Some of the photos are a little bit unfocused, but the blurry one in the middle seems to show that the black dots begin as some kind of amber resin. No idea lmao just assuming pythium or black fungus.
