I like cloning in 1.5" rockwool on an ebb/flow tray.
Immediately after cutting, I'll soak the bottom inch of the 'cut' in Dip 'N' Grow for under 30 seconds. Then into the cube, under low light with humidity cover. I water from the bottom daily by flooding the tray. Around day 4, I start uncovering the tray. By day 7, the tray is completely uncovered. By day 14, most are ready to be transplanted.
