Cloning light question!

MH you have to keep far away because of heat stress and some statistic like each ft your light efficiencyr reduces 50%.

Keep fluorescent lights going. I run 140 watts of fluorescent power for my cloner keep it close to the cloner so they don't stretch and your golden. You'll save power = less energy so more profit!

If you have neither cfl's or fluorescence, you can always put them in the corner of your grow room far from the h.i.d. until they root. Assuming you are not growing in a tent, or not on a 12/12 schedule.

Best option is what Light House said.

They don't need much light. I fit 25 rockwool sized clones in my box and a 10 watt fluoro will do the job in 7-10 days.

cuttings need very little light and a dedicated light is just a waste. mine get side light from my vegger t5's.

Yes it would be fine brother but just keep the light further away than CFL's because of the heat stress it can produce, which is never a good thing. Best of luck
